Ok Cyber so the second one can support a total of 2 gigs of Sdram Dimm and I should get pc133.

I have a *** AGP 4X if i Use a 8x card in a 4x slot and I add alot of cooling?
 
OK, just googled again. If your MB supports 4X or 8X, you can install 4X or 8X cards but not the earlier 1X/2X card (Will fry the card).

Thanx cyber you are super helpful,I would have googled but im capped. So you saying I can install 4x or 8x without any problems?:)
 
an 8X card will fit in a 4X .. and visa versa... just wont work on 1X\2X cause its different tech...

Should not be any problem, as long as you are sure the Motherboard you have support either 4x or 8x. Then it's safe to install 4x or 8x card on it.
 
Allright cool , can I install a 256 mb ram and a 512 mb ram for a total of 768mb??or do both sticks have to be same sizes?
 
You can but it all depends on what brand of RAM you have and how good your MB in handling different brand/speed of RAMs. If possible take your tower along to the PC shop and buy your ram, install it and switch on your pc run it for a while and see.
 
ok great thanx , Am going to buy 2x512 ram and 3.0ghz cpu need some advice with which graphics card to buy.

Celeron D you say that Might be a socket 775, then it won't work in the same mother board as the P4 unless the the P4 is also 775

I already told you both are socket 478, at least according to windows system information
 
hi i opend my pc and on my ram is a sticker saying DRR400 256 mb ram, but system for windows says that my ram is sdram , ????? need help as i am going to be purchasing m0re ram,

Which pc you opened? #12 of this thread suggested you do have a PC with DDR 400 256Mb Ram.

Have a look here but what it boils down to is that DDR400 is a kind of SDRAM :)
