Hi
I stay in a granny flat back of my parents house. Is it possible that my parents can have their own internet ISP and me my own from the same box, (CPE SWITCH - GREY BOX) i think.
In other words can they run 2 cables to the house ?

Thx, what i wanted to hear, So to clarify they my folks have their own separate internet, billing etc, and i my own, and neither of us interfering with each other.

He can use a different ISP; as long as they are recognised by the network provider.
I think OP wants two fibre connections. Might still be doable (the isp will be able to confirm this).

@op why not just "club together" and get a faster Fibre connection? Run two M2 nano stations, bit of QoS, and have faster speeds available. If it's on the same property there shouldn't be issues.

You can't "share" a physical line and have multiple ISPs on Vumatel or Octotel. The only service you can do this is over Telkom fibre but your line capacity is still then shared.

If you want to use multiple ISPs with Vumatel or Octotel then you need multiple physical lines.

We are doing that with our neighbor. Wifi close to the wall and a booster in their house. Sharing a 100mb line with no issues

so would they then have to install another grey box outside our boundry wall ? What u saying only one cable from the box into our house, not more ?

Vuma have two cables in the Grey box. You can request a new line install from them to your granny flat with its own cpe

If you want a new fibre connection you'll need to order through vuma

Called Vuna today and yea they will come do something to the grey box to enable 2 lines, no need to install another box..
Thx all for helping out, will be connected b4 sometime end Nov :)

They provide for four fibres per property they go past. Two are pulled into the box, and two are dormant to be used as spares.

Sorry for reviving old thread....
So it would be possible to have 2x fibre lines from 2x different FNO's?

Should have 2x FNO's live here by the end of the year, want to sign up with both and see which is most stable / survives loadshedding best, as I have solar.

Yes will not be a problem.
