why dont u support leeds anymore cause they suck now?

so you jump from one team to another depending on how well they do
if arsenal got relegated you would stop supporting them pffffft

and you tell me i got four jersey's in my draw, atleast i dont stop supporting teams cause they do badly hahahah
 
No lengthened ban for Taylor. Common sense prevails at last.

The Football Association have rejected FIFA's call to impose a longer ban on Martin Taylor for the foul that broke Eduardo's leg.

The world governing body had asked the FA to increase the Birmingham defender's punishment after he was suspended for three matches after being sent off for serious foul play.

FIFA's disciplinary chief Marcel Mathier studied the file of the incident and then said the FA should reconsider their decision.

But the FA have stuck to their guns and say the ban will not be changed because there was no clear case of intent on Taylor's part when he went in to tackle Arsenal's Croatian striker. They also insist disciplinary procedures should not be changed mid-way through a season.

However, they will review the whole issue of dangerous tackles and will set up a meeting with FIFA officials for their view.

An FA spokesman said: "It would be unreasonable at this stage of the season to change our disciplinary procedures purely on the basis of one case.

"That would be a dangerous precedent to set.

"Serious foul play carries a three-match ban and the only cases where that has been increased is where there has been a clear case of intent and no-one is suggesting that happened in this case.

"We will be reviewing our procedures at the end of the season and consulting with the whole game, and dangerous tackles are certainly an area we will be looking at.

"We will also be requesting a meeting with FIFA for their input."

FIFA president Sepp Blatter has taken a personal interest in the Taylor/Eduardo case and it was he who demanded the file be sent to his disciplinary head.

He has also called for much tougher punishments for players who commit dangerous tackles.

FIFA said in a statement: "The file on the sanction imposed by the FA on the player Martin Taylor was received and thoroughly reviewed by the chairman of the FIFA disciplinary committee.

"A letter was then sent requesting the FA to once again review the incident in detail and reconsider the sanction."

thought it would be nice to stick the knife and not be pulling it out hahaha

omw this weekend is going to amazing

although normally when these big teams play each other its down right boring :(

Hey dude, this is a premier league thread, who says I don't support leeds... I'm not about to start a one man third division thread lol

Everytime the toon play its like a super sunday to me,we'l either take one step towards or away from relegation!:(
 
Toon supporters are the most hardcore in the league,say what u want but I dont think there is a club in the league with such dedicated supporters,have you ever seen an empty seat at St james'?

The second is reflecting on the claim that, on the eve of Arsenal's Champions League tie with AC Milan, Hleb left the Gunners camp to hold talks with Inter Milan along with his agent. That's not so much tapping up as merely opening the door after someone has knocked on it. And what, pray, does it say about Hleb's commitment to Arsenal?

The third is contemplating the curious explanation for Hleb's disappearance from Arsenal's hotel: he required an ice cream. And went to find it in a taxi. With his agent. In early March.

Now Transfer Gossip thinks about it, there's a fourth approach to this remarkable story: read a few extracts for yourself...

'Arsène Wenger is considering reporting Internazionale to Uefa for tapping up Alexander Hleb. The Arsenal midfielder left the team's hotel the night before the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against Milan two weeks ago with the agent Claudio Vigorelli and is believed to have travelled to Inter's offices on Via Durini.

'Vigorelli is an associate of Vincenzo Morabito, a leading international agent who has dealt frequently with Premier League clubs and is a director of the leading English agency First Artist. Yesterday Morabito denied there had been a meeting with Inter but conceded that Vigorelli and Hleb had shared a taxi from the Melia Felix hotel, where Arsenal were staying, and that Wenger had made a complaint.

'It's true that Hleb saw Vigorelli and they went out from the Melia Felix but it's not true that they went to talk to Inter Milan," said Morabito. "They went for an ice-cream. We are sorry that Mr Wenger took it badly and complained because we have a good relationship with him."
