I don't get why teams perform so poorly against Aus Is it a mental thing?

Any team is arguably capable of beating them on paper. They just seem to go about business as usual, why can't everybody else play their natural games too?

Probably in the WC yeah. Teams probably feel its impossible to break their 20 odd match winning streak...but we're gonna end it with some fireworks on Wednesday! Bring it home SA!

I don't think so. If you look at the way they played Aus the first time around. They believed they could beat Aus which is a big thing. The way AB and Smith were flaying it around, you can see the belief they have. It will be a cracker of a game though.

if ab hadnt been run out amazingly as only aus can do and smith had not gotten cramp i think thing would have worked out a bit better for us

look towards wednesday both team have thumped a team before they play each other, so its even stevens cept for the damn slow pitch

I dont think biffy will score many runs on Wednesday. Sluggish pitch not good for Biff. I think out of all SA's batsman,

Kallis will perform best on the slow pitch. He'll grind his way through the innings and get a good score. I also think that top order wont do so well, biffy, ab, gibbs gone. Kallis and those beneath him will do most of the scoring.

Thats what makes me think the toss is so important. Maybe not as much for Aus as for SA. Aus have a good spinner and can use him if they bowl second. If we bat first when the wicket is at it's hardest, things will get very interesting. I also believe you can put Aus under pressure when they chase.

Yeah we both had good matches and we both believe we can give give each other a good hiding so it's gonna be even on Wednesday like killa says. I just got a feeling bout this WC this time round, it's ours. Everyone had that attitude before the WC even started because we on fire the whole summer. We had a few hiccups in the WC on our road to the semis but now it's time to show what kind of cricket we can really play.

And can you believe it...my Wednesday lecture got cancelled! It's fate I tell ya...

That depends, if AB gets off the mark he is likey to get a big one I agree on Kallis though, he will apply himself well on the wicket.

One interesting thing. If we do manage to win the WC, it will probably be by beating Aus and NZ. If that does happen, Bangladesh will be the only side that has beaten us in the WC whom we would not have beaten in return

I think people really came down hard on Kallis after the group match against the Aussies but he really has upped his strike rate after that so he's doing pretty well.

We just gotta keep that same team, I feel that Ntini is sort of a weak link. We can all see that this team we played against England just looks like a more solid unit.

I'm still backing SL for finals. NZ is a team that does fairly well for players they have, but to get over the final few hurdles wont happen.

Look, they are a good competitve team, they lack the BMT for a WC to get over the final hurdle(s)

One thing i'll mention is that i'll be piissed if Sa beat OZ becuase OZ have won all games so far and SA have lost 3.

That would really suck, OZ been the form team, and then for someone, whom has lost 3 games would beat Aussies would be kuk.

But thats the exciting thing - anything can happen.

That is the big problem with the current WC format. You play a team in round 1, lose to them and then you still win it. When in the football world cup could someone lose three games and still win the cup.
