No, mentally SA never had a side strong enough to beat the Ozzies in this world cup. SA were choked and the Aussies did the choking. They put so much pressure on SA they SA just couldn't cope. That makes Australia the best side in the world cup. They have the BMT, and SA do not.

But what I am saying is that people are calling for heads left right and centre. He must go, this player didn't perform etc etc.
It makes the selectors' jobs difficult, cos it seems as if they did pick almost the best squad possible and yet they still seemed to choke...Even experienced players.
At a time when Kallis needed to come in and actually play a Kallis innings he tries something different and get out. I just didn't get it.

My thoughts exactly, he needed to play his natural game, not try prove a point.
We were out-played, and out-smarted by a much better team. I feel we deserve to be in the top 4, but the way we have played some of the games in this WC, we don't deserve the 1 or 2 spot.

Ya he will improve as a player if hes not captain.
Kallis has alot of experience, Boucher knows enough they also got Polly with tons of knowledge theyv been there before.
BUT I dont think Smith alowed them to contribute much.

Now you really are talking K@K. He couldn't get a regular spot in the starting lineup for the Dolphins so Hhis father spoke to Ali Bacher who said he couldn't do anything so his family left. The oke isn't too bright so if he wasn't allowed to make a future for himself doing what he knew what to do he was going to leave.

So he couldn't keep a spot in the Dolphins and we should've held a slot for him in the national team?
The point is that Pietersen didn't bat like he now does when he was here. That is why he wasn't selected. Pietersen can rationalise it however he likes.

He threw the towel in without even trying...KP's excuse of quotas was BS. Smith and AB are examples of young white players starting their careers almost the same time as KP.

I get paid to do a job to the best of my ability right ?
If I don't I get sacked.... easy as that. There is a sense of stability in SA sport. If they don't perform it's ok we'll give them another chance... and another... and another.... and another.....
They should be stricter. If u under perform your out. You get a pay cut, you get dropped to domestic cricket and that is it. Then work your way up again.
Same for all sports in SA. The Bastards get lazy and then just don't give a rat's arse as they are firm in their spots due to contracts. And if dropped they still get the pay they signed for. This is what is wrong with SA sport !
The whole pay structure and contracts should be re-evaluated. I'm sick of this Crap... We lose in the Super 14, we lose in the CWC, and we will lose in the Tri nations and so the World cup in Sept. And guess what the players just don't give a ****. as long as they get their R 40+k a month their happy.

yeah just like what's happening with the indian team now. Performance based contracts.
