Before the game they said out of 7 games won against Bangl. they never lost with less than 70 runs.

well, well, well...

SA has a way of being in the records book for all kinds of stuff

*4 wickets Malinga took
*bangladesh causing the biggest upset against world champions

Bang. won this game quite convincingly.... Now how did that happen?

I just don't understand it.

does anyone know what was going on?
SA are showing the immaturity of their captain and coach. You need to be on top of all aspects of your game to win the world cup. They assumed it would be an easy game and have been trying to prepare for the semis and final. They are practicing batting second in case it happens in the semis/finals because they thought it would be an easy game. Rested Hall which cost us dearly in the last 10 overs. They forgot that you have to win first to get to the semis.

In the world cup, you bat first and put pressure on your opponents. Golden rule. We lose 66% of games batting second and chasing a target of more then 250. Why would this be any different.

NZ are probably going to win this WC. This one, more then any other, is about the tactics and skills of your captain. Biff has been blasting us out of bad decisions so far but could not keep doing it.

what arrogance on the part of SA! Under-estimating Bangladesh like that? Resting Hall? He is our best "death" bowler! Ntini and Kemp are woefully out of form and all Prince did was get a '47' no against Ireland.

There's something seriously wrong in the SA camp and I agree, Jennings would never have allowed such complacency. Wow, the no.1 ranked side in the world???? I don't thing Oz would have allowed a game like that in a World Cup. I still thought we had a chance for the cup but what if we do get to the final and win it...Bangladesh will always have something to say about that. The best team wins ALL their games AND the final so that there's NO disputing their status. Can smith and co really look the Ozzies in the eye and declare they are no.1??

Pathetic!! New Zealand probably can't wait to have a crack at us anymore.

These idiots can't keep playing like its test cricket, taking the odd single here and there while the run rate continues to climb!

I'm in disbelief! what the hell next? are we still in with any chance to progress?
Win the rest of our games (NZ, ENG, WI). No mean feat. That will put us in the semis. If we lose one of those we are in big trouble because of our NRR. The best way to sort out the NRR is to bat first. I am astounded at the decision to bat second.

Aus made the mistake before the WC of resting Ponting and it almost cost them in terms of momentum. You would think the other sides would learn from that.

Gibbs might be out of the next game as well. I was thinking just now.. since polly is not performing why not swop him for nell?

Because he can bat and is also economical. I think some of the wickets from Nel were caused by Polly.

Averages don't lie:

Overs Runs Wkts RPO
M Ntini 43.0 194 4 4.51
SM Pollock 51.0 200 4 3.92

Polly has actually scored more runs then Kemp.

YAY! damn that was good!
What's your problem? You are a South African or at least stay here yet you support every country except SA. Why stay here if thats the way you feel? I worked in NZ for a year but I will be damned if I said anything bad about them when I was there. It's common courtesy.

I am proudly South African! As contradicting as dat sounds I dnt support d Proteas, they nt good enough imo n they play standard boring cricket, they gt no flair. Im indian n i support al d indian teams then SA.
