Well playing the way we did I am not suprised.

I would just like to say that the Aussies future pace attack looks better than it has in a long time - lee,tait,bracken and a few others knocking on the door. Not sure about Bracken, but the other 2 bowl at 150kms +.

why won't it be good? it would open up 3 spots to go thru to the semi's instead of just 2 assuming SA win vs Nz. 260+ seems the score.. I doubt ireland can get that.. they seem to have lost it in the last few overs :(
 
Well I would've preferred if our peak started at the beginning of the tournament and ended after the tournament but hey you're right...SA needs to look at Australia's performance yesterday and learn how to chase, more importantly how to ABSORB PRESSURE. I swear, just watching how confident Ponting and Clarke were at the wicket batting was amazing (even though I hate them Aussies:), theres no denying they have major talent and you could clearly see that they had a GAME PLAN. Np panicing, no pressure, no collapse. But ya SA is also capable of that, just not as consistently as Aus.

Well, I wouldn't be so hard on Ntini... that last pitch wasn't exactly a paceman's pitch...
As for the lack of spinners in the side and the obvious lack of experience in batting against medium pacers on a low flat wicket....
 
apparently the pitch will be good for fast bowling up front in the mornng.
