We really need a win tomorrow and its gonna be harder than usual cause the Windies have a knack for knockin us out of World Cups and major competitions. Lara ALWAYS rises to the occasion when it comes to us. I remember seeing his hundred in the opening game of the WC at Newlands in 2003!
 
Niall O'Brien should have been run out, with a strike rate of 40, his brother could have maybe done something.

i see article on cricinfo say nel might be in team at kemp's expense, bosman in for gibs with de villiers droppng to 4 and hall back in the team.
 
good its about time bosman got into the team to show his amazingness :)

de villiers must stay where he is because he is due for a big innings

hall has to be in the team because he can bat very well
 
bosman's time has come

if we loose today we basically out

typically we always loose to the windies in must win games so i hope we can change that
 
will be one bat short and one experienced bat short.. which is not always a good thing. If it works, i.e. bosman rides some luck and gets us off to a flier it will be amazing else if it fails we can be bowled out fast.

everything else we have been doing is wrong, like batting second when we should be batting first

I agree.

Smith was doing well for a while and winning over a few doubters(of which he has many) but his decisions in this WC so far have been nothing short of shocking.

By adding Bosman now just adds pressure on the oke, and shows SAs on the backfoot trying their resources, he should have had a knock earlier.
 
It's not just Smith, yes he makes a few bad decisions on the field, but there are others who also need to be held accountable. Starting with the selectors, who think that because we did well at home with a certain team, that the exact same team would do well in west indian conditions. Not to mention their refusal to drop underperforming players. Then there's also the coach and vice-captain, who are responsible for bad decisions when Smith is batting, they are responsible for which batsmen to send in, and haven't always sent in the right batsmen depending on the match situations.

The complete think-tank needs a complete overhaul. I'm not the greatest fan of Smith's captaincy, but it's unfair to lay ALL the blame on him.

Its the territory that comes with being the captain, Polly felt it last WC.

well against bangies we should have batted first but smith chose to bat second bat mistake even the commentator could not understand it

Yip I think so too, we are at our strongest when we bat first. The fielding and bowling even intensifies because there's the pressure in defending. We were never really a chasing team, and they know this. I guess now I'm hoping not for Smith to win the toss, but for windies to win it and send us in to bat.
