guys it doesnt matter about net run rate
out semi final berth is in our hands
run rate does matter we to far behind to pull it back
we either beat england or we go out
True, but IF SA loses to NZ and then again to ENG, Eng will/might go through.

Mmmm yip read it wrong... But SA can beat NZ. I dont think NZ will make the final, regardless of their record so far.
So you are going with an SA vs OZ final then?![]()
Check the Myadsl prediction thread, I called SL, ill stick with SL winning it.
Hectic. I vote SA.
Lol and yesterday you would have said???![]()
I dont mind if SA wins it, I just dont want any other team from the southern hemisphere taking it!!
Yesterday? I would have said the same.
We need to bowl teams out though.
Even if SA beats NZ and then loses to ENG we will be out. If ENG beat IRE and BANG then regardless of what happens in the SA-NZ game, the winner of ENG-SA goes into the semis. If ENG beat us and we beat NZ, then we will both have 8 points and ENG will go through on RR. If ENG beat us and we lose to NZ, then ENG will go through because they have 8 points and we have 6. If we beat ENG, we will either have 8 or 10 points (NZ loss/win) and ENG will only have 6 points so RR is not part of the equation. Then only way RR might be involved is if SL lose the rest of their games badly or at least the ones to NZ and AUS. Then they will have 6/8 points and can be overhauled on RR. But they would need to lose really badly.True, but IF SA loses to NZ and then again to ENG, Eng will/might go through.
SA needs a fast bowler, 150km+ type of bowler to finish of the tail.
Yip, took a 26 run partnership for the 7th wicket to start to get them right. It's better for SA as it puts the SA result solely on the ENG game instead of needing 2 out of 2 wins on the off chance that Bang win the rest of their games. What would be really nice for SA is a drawEngland made a bit of a balls up in this match.
So much for bettering their NRR.
