Bit late, but what the heck !

Apparently, Bulls look shaky. Sharks did not do too badly, although terrible game, narrow win for Lions, 'Saders romped the Brumbies and Tah's got one over the Hurricanes. Plus Red beat Highlanders. And Blues over the Chiefs.

Highlights of 1 weekend.

ELV's are huge part of the discussion....

Bring on the 2nd weekend.

Crusaders vs Bulls
Reds lost to the Canes.
Cheetahs vs Force
Brumbies vs Highlanders

Sharks vs Stormers.
Lions vs Bues

The bulls don't look too good

After 37 unanswered points I stopped watching.

What teh RUGBY is on? I've gotta stop working on Friday evenings.

GO SHARKS!!!

And I agree, after tonights game the Bulls are more than shaky! It appears they may not be dealing with the loss of key players as well as the other teams. Shame! ha ha

Crusaders are looking awesome.... that is of course dependant on whether the Bulls are really as bad as they appear so far.

Lions got owned to.

Sharks and Stormers what a disjointed game, full of mistakes.

SA teams haven't adjusted to the ELV's at all.

It's going to be a dismal year for SA rugby again.

The thing that gets me is ... If South African teams win, it is usually barely. But if we lose, we get owned.

Hmmm you appear to be one of those who feel a rugby match is only good if 100 points are scored! This was a great game of rugby. Plenty of running, deft handling, and to and fro play.... and of course the clincher, pressure until the final whistle.

I for one enjoyed it!

Oh how fickle the common SA sports fan is.... two teams contesting the final last year and now two matches into this season and all is doom, gloom and despair.... shocking fickleness!!

Let me return the favour, since you presume to assume to know me!

You appear to be one of those who knows nothing about the rugby rules, getting drawn along by the emotion irrespective of the actual on field standard of play. Plenty of free kicks at the ruck, knock-ons, and aimless kicking.

I for one enjoyed it!
So did I, I didn't say I didn't enjoy it!!

Oh how ignorant is the person who draws stereotypes.... the two teams you refer to are different from last year, players have left, the ELV's, NZ's top players are involved the whole Super 14 this year.... shocking ignorance!!

I made some nice money on the rugby last weekend. Bookies had the spread at around seven points for both the crusaders and blues game. I backed both teh blues and the crusaders and needless to say both of them came home by a country mile... they made the spread with ease and my pockets were filled with cash. Looking to do the same this weekend.

Again I think the easy money will be on the Blues and Crusaders games but this time the spread has moved up to 16 and a half. Bu tI think both these teams will make the spread quite easily. I also think this will be the last weekend to make such easy money. I htink aftter this weeknd the bookies will be bale to judge teh spread more accurately.

Anyone have any thoughts on the abovementioned games!?!?

into it's second week, and the NZ'ers are already cooking furiously.

Stormers 0-22 Crusaders

What a let down.

Worse was at the end of the game, half the stadium was still there, cheering for the Crusaders, as they came to salute their fans. This was at Newlands for heaven's sake!

And don't get me started on the number of South Africans who were there wearing Crusaders jerseys and flying NZ flags. Sickening it was.

Polished performance from the Crusaders yes, could have been a lot closer had Luke and Schalk been playing although I thought Melck had a good game..

Melck?

If I'm not mistaken Stormers have not scored a point now for 120 mins. And technically their record of NOT scoring points in the second half of all three of their games is still intact

Well, considering what's been going on with SA rugby, i don't really blame SA fans for supporting NZ sides. Afterall, we love the game, and want to see good rugby. And NZ'ers are producing it.

What's happened since last year?
