2009 DLF IPL

cheerleaders were fscking hawt. :)

I was really peeved when they refused to come out and cheer in the rain to get the crowd's spirits up. I think I heard them mutter something about white shirts, but that just sounds like an unpatriotic excuse to me...

Were u in Newlands today?

The blondies in the white tops were my favourite. Great, um, dancers.

Yeah, I was at Newlands today. Pity about the rain and the floodlight issues but there was sufficient booze and women to balance things out...

Yeah the 3 blondes at the grass embankment. :)

On on the left in the pic was in white during the 2nd game.

Any grief given about taking a camera in with you?

That was my iPhone camera, so couldn't take decent pics.
Otherwise their would be close ups of boobs.

I saw quite a few people there with digital cameras, so no problems.
Next time I'll take it with.

Cool - then I'll take a chance and take my camera with me tonight.

BTW - anyone know the policy on matches that are rained out? Rain-checks? Refunds? The weather here in PE is looking decidedly dodgy.

I doubt they'll refund you, IIRC they said rained out matches end in a draw with each side picking up a point.

I dont see why one should have anything to do with the other.

On the back of the ticket it says NO REFUND.
Was sitting in the rain reading that. :)

Put your camera in a windbreaker pocket or something if you're worried.
They don't frisk you, they do check your bags.

I never said they were related.

1. No refund.

2. Match drawn.
Actually you kinda did when you used a "," instead of a "."

Irony :D

I was thinking about bringing the sigma 150-500 but I'll look really suspicious with that under my jacket. Guess I'll go for the Sigma 28-300 instead. :o

Hopefully we have no rain and better pitches. Even before it rained on Saturday the pitch wasn't very good for 20/20. I know a lot of the none SA guys are complaining a lot about this on the various cricket forums.

Didn't seem to bother Sehwag or Gibbs yesterday

Newlands has always been a slow pitch, so no real surprise that the teams couldn't get any decent scores. 140 is par for Newlands. The other pitches should be better for the batsmen.

Talking overall. Highest score of 164 over the weekend isn't exactly thrilling for t20. Besides Gibbs wasn't going at his usual rate. He was just batting sensibly because he knew the rate he required was pretty easy in t20.

43* off 26 balls.
Strike rate 165.38

Can't wait till he gets going then ;)

Only started taking chances when the game was won. The normal gibbs t20 innings he takes those risks throughout the innings. He took a more cautions approach early on.
