2010/2011 Transfer Thread

lmao... urm public knowledge... you did the impossible! you caved :p now suffer :D

It was a sarcastic comment - well when i made it anyway.

He's obviously pasted it out of context and had his fun - and that's ok - I don't mind. I just would prefer him to leave my name off it. I don't think that's being unreasonable.

Seems like Yaya might be heading to Chelsea.

Still early days.

World Cup 2010 EXCLUSIVE: South African Coach Roger De Sa Flying Out To Portugal To Be Assistant
Roger De Sa is ready to fly out and join the Portugal technical team and start preparations for the World Cup with Carlos Queiroz.

After winning the Nedbank Cup, Bidvest head coach Roger De Sa now has his sights set on Portugal’s World Cup campaign as he will be working with coach Carlos Queiroz as one of the team's assistant coaches.

The Portuguese-speaking former South African national team goalkeeper confirmed that he will be flying out soon to join the team as they prepare to travel to South Africa for the biggest football showpiece.

“I am one of the assistants in the technical team of Portugal. They were just waiting for my team to drop out of the Nedbank Cup, but I took longer than they expected. I will be flying to join the team on June 5 and coming back to South Africa on June 6 to do the World Cup campaign with the Portugal team,” De Sa told Goal.com.

He further expressed his happiness and excitement over the opportunity to be working with some of the world’s most respected players like Real Madrid midfield dynamo Cristiano Ronaldo, and he says he is looking forward to learning a great deal.

“I have been fortunate to be working with some top players and also top teams. I am really going to learn a lot and I might contribute towards their team’s success,” he said.

After winning the R6 million Nedbank Cup prize with South African Premier Soccer League side Bidvest Wits, De Sa will certainly be joining Queiroz and company in high spirit.

Transfer of sorts :)

He is a good coach - I trained day or two under him once when a group of us went up to Joburg in 97. He had just started to become a coach back then I think. We played 2 games against an under 20 team from Denmark or Sweden and Sundowns were in those warm-ups as well. They were not proper matches, just officiated, but just warm-ups. He came in and was helping the junior teams who were attending the workshops at Milpark. I got an elbow to the face in one of the games!

a good guy and congrats to him

Cesc Fabregas '500% Sure' He Wants Barcelona Move Despite Arsene Wenger's Attempts To Keep Him At Arsenal - Report

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has failed in his bid to keep Cesc Fabregas at the club after the Spanish star told friends that he is “500 per cent sure” he wants to move to Barcelona, according to The Express.

Wenger had personally phoned his captain in an attempt to persuade him that his future lies at the Emirates and not the Nou Camp, but Fabregas simply reiterated his desire to join the Catalan club.

It is now up to Barcelona to agree a deal with Arsenal, with the Spanish champions confident that they will get their man and add to the recent signing of David Villa from Valencia.

Despite the ongoing transfer saga surrounding Fabregas, Arsene Wenger has continued to pursue his own targets as he looks to close the gap on Chelsea and Manchester United next season.

Arsenal have already signed Bordeaux striker Marouane Chamakh to add to their front-line and are reportedly in the market for a centre-back and goalkeeper

500% hey? wow. Goal.com would not print that if he was 200% sure, so I'm sure 500% makes this undeniably true.

Didn't everyone fly to London to meet emotionally or something? Hold hands round the fire and say goodbyes with Fran Merida singing 'Kumbaya'? Oh, goal.com forgot they said that last week - aah. It was just a phone call then? Video call perhaps. I understand completely now.

Can't wait till he is Super1002% sure.

How is 500% sure better than 100% sure :P Are you 5X more sure that you want to leave than being totally sure you want to leave? Logic fail.

Looks like he could be on his way to warm Barca's bench then.

Why would United join the chase for another defender?

They currently have: Vidic, Ferdinand, Wes Brown, Evans, Chris Smalling... plus a host of other youngesters... Cory Evans, Ritchie De Laet, Joe Dudgeon and Oliver Gill..

Inter have bought the other half of janathan biabany and mcdonald mariga's contracts from parma for €10 million they are now fully inter players and no longer co-owned with parma. We renewed the co-ownership with bologna for viviano(talented goalkeeper, was the under 21 number 1).

Coutinho also had his medical this week and signed his papers. Said two years ago he had offers from barca and real madrid but chose inter.

Edit: Forgot Quresma has gone to besiktas for €7.3 million.

Their is talk of Vidic's future, maybe thats why. Arsenal in need of a tall strong defender, don't really care who just needs to do the damn job.

W00t Javier Hernandez looks like he'll fit in well into the United lineup

Silva tempted by Chelsea
Spanish star would welcome Premier League opportunity

David Silva admits the Premier League is 'the place to be' and has opened the door for a move to Chelsea.

The Valencia winger is currently away on World Cup duty, with Spain's quest for global glory dominating his thoughts at present.

He has, however, taken time out to discuss his future, with reports continuing to suggest that he is destined to leave Los Che this summer.

A switch to England has been widely touted, with Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City all believed to be keen.

Silva has now revealed that he would be willing to make such a move, but has implied that he would rather try his luck in West London than the North West.

Pleasure

He said, in comments reported by the Daily Star: "Chelsea have established themselves as one of the best clubs in Europe over the last five years.

"They might not have the history of Real Madridor AC Milan but they are creating their own history now. There is no reason why in the future Chelsea can't be as decorated as Real Madrid.

"Chelsea probably have, along with Barcelona, the best squad in football and if any player joins Chelsea he knows he is going to win things.

"In players like John Terry, Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba they have players who would get into any team in the world and it would be a pleasure to play with them.

"There is no doubt in my mind that Chelsea would be a great club to play for - and a club where I could fulfil my ambition of league titles and the European Cup.

"The Premier League is still the place to be, no other league in the world has six or seven Champions League quality teams."

can he land then!

Silva would be a good signing.

Seems like Henry is on his way out to the USA.

Yaya is still being linked to a move to the Premier League. First it was Arsenal but his agent has said Arsenal is too small of a club for Yaya.

His agent is an idiot twat anyway but he very rarely makes sense.

He might make it in turkey. The pressure is less so that might suit him.

In other transfer news inter and lfc are dealing for mascherano. It is expect that he will join at some stage this summer. LFC wants to sell due to debt and he would like to follow rafa.

Juve are close to signing bonucci from genoa/bari will inter are closing to securing a deal his centreback partnerner ranocchia.

Juve still needs to replace Cannavaro...

Juve Brought: Marco Storari (GK) from AC Milan
Juve Loan: Simone Pepe from Udinese with right to buy him for 7.5 mill Euro... Pepe will be good for Juve after his performance in this WC
Juve also interested in: Krasic

Juve Sold: Cristian Molinaro to VFB Stuttgart
