Didn't see the race, just saw that Marquez started on pole pretty comfortably, ended up fourth? How'd that happen??

He was really struggling with the bike's front end. You could see he was battling with the bike all race and he had one hell of a fight from Andrea Ionnone for 4th position. That was the highlight of the race for me. Will try find highlights of the two of them going at it.
 
What a fight it was between Marquez and Iannone; all the more impressive given the injured shoulder that he (Iannone) was nursing. Lorenzo now a serious title contender; and with Rossi and Marquez looking strong, it could be the closest fought championship in a long time!

About the circuit
Built in 1965 around the existing 24-Hour track, the Le Mans Bugatti Grand Prix race circuit lies 5km south of the city of Le Mans and 200km south-west of Paris. The venue has hosted Grand Prix since the late sixties but a serious accident to Spanish rider Alberto Puig in 1995 saw it struck off the calendar until 2000 whilst stringent safety improvements were carried out.

Le Mans is a tight track dominated by first gear corners that place the emphasis on late braking and hard acceleration, whilst rear end traction is also a key area. With the capacity to comfortably accommodate up to 100,000 spectators, the Bugatti circuit also plays host to the 24 hour truck race, the FIA GP2 Championship, French Touring Car and GT races.

Yeah, how the fsck do you ride like that with a dislocated shoulder.

It's already a cracker of a season!

I know he's won a ton of titles but I'm supporting the old man...Lorenzo looks to have found some of his 2010 form though....looking mighty impressive.

That was an epic race, Lorenzo blitzing it then commenting at the end "the pace was a bit slow", the DR charging through and Ianonne fighting off challengers with a bust shoulder, insane!!!
 
Another great race at the best circuit on the calendar (with the possible exception of Assen). Lorenzo in a class of one with Marquez again failing. Credit again to Iannone to stave off Marquez, Rossi and Pedrosa. And a word to the Doctor as well! A bit of luck with Marquez and Dovizioso retiring but he charged hard nonetheless.

I wouldn't write Marquez off just yet, but it does seem to be becoming a two horse race this season between the Yamahas. Who would've thought that at the start of the season...
 
Was an awesome race. Marquez went out in style hahaha. I will post details tomorrow morning.
 
Marquez....does it again. Why this season he feels he needs to charge and ride so hard from so early...I dunno. Making real stupid/rookie type mistakes. Love those Zooks on pole and 2...but yoh, they got creamed off the start! If they can get some extra horses in...that will make things interesting.

Anyways...Lorenzo won again. At this stage...I want anyone to win except him. Dunno why I dont like him, think maybe its his "punch me" type face :D
 
Not the most exhilarating race, it has to be said. The moment Marquez went out, it was Lorenzo's to lose.

Next stop, Assen. Remember, it's a Saturday race. Don't miss this one! :)

Give Lorenzo some credit...Marquez couldn't live with his pace and crashed. No one seems to be able keep up with Jorge at the moment. Marquez got used to doing a Lorenzo last season...he doesn't seem to know what to do when he's not the frontunner.
 
Rossi on pole at Assen, Marquez third and Lorenzo only down in 7th. Rossi's issue this year has been his qualifying which has stymied his great race pace. He really couldn't be better placed (excuse the pun) to go from lights to flag.

Should be a great race. Remember, it's tomorrow at 13:45 and not Sunday.

Lorenzo is a lazy boy , no fighting spirit at all. saw him race in the last 6 races and his modus operandi is to seize the lead at the start and never look back , but once followed and pressured he cant fight
