This looks great! I just bought a B7 a month ago and then this comes up on NetCarShow this morning.

I would never get a lighter colour interior, but this looks great with the LED displays and all...

OOOHHH!, OOOHHH!!

Delicious!!
:D

P.S. I see even the clock is correct to your posting time - what a car!! ;)

My issue with the Passat in general is that when released it looks great, but they tend to "age" very quickly.

Still, not bad looking as it stands.

Much better looking inside than the old one. The steering wheel looks 1000 times better, and the slight change to the lines on the dash really help with the blocky look of the old interior

This is the old one...

Not as bad as you make it sound TBH. I've been living with it for a month :D

I like that they are developing the Passat into a fully fledged marquee, not a middle child.

Front looks gorgeous. The back looks a little like a jetta, but having said that, I still like it

I know the old one quite well, been in a bunch of them. It isn't a bad interior, but after the release of the Golf and new Polo the Passat does look a bit dated in comparison.

New Passat interior is definitely next level stuff...

new one has a digital dash

will we see golfs with digital dashes

The digital dash is smart the way forward no doubt but even in Europe it will be an (assuming rather pricey) option.

Same dash eg. Screen size & res came 1st in the 3rd gen Audi TT.

On the way of looks I think the rear of the B8 gels rather well & front not so much.

But no doubt a classy car & VW moving the Passat-brand more upmarket.

Apologies if it sounded as if I was bashing your car, I am honestly not.

But yeah, the digital dash was first announced in the upcoming TT, though I could see it being standard equipment here rather than optional. The VW models are usually well equipped, and doubt that they would make such a prominent feature optional.

No need to apologise... I was just having a go at the way you said it, but I too think that the new one is a big leap forward.

LCD dashes will definitely be standard kit on many cars soon. LCD screens are not exactly expensive anyway.
