2016 Renault Megane (4th Generation)

I still drive my '09 Meg 3 on a daily basis. Solid car and in my opinion it aged well over the years looks wise.
I'm sure all the niggles and feedback improvements have filtered down by this stage as it was EOL in 2016.
Would have expected a better price (lower) on this model to be honest.

Can't comment on this engine's durability, but did test drive the 1.2t at a stage and was not impressed with the torque delivery out and about town.

My oil burner will clock 220k km soon without any mechanical intervention.

Congrats on the 220km :) I will give it a test drive this week alongside the 2018 Clio Dynamique. Either should be an improvement on my '07 Fiesta haha just looking for something reliable over the next 4 years.

So guys, I checked out that Megane I posted in the link above. From my research, it's actually a 2014 Megane GT Line (the infotainment screen is on the dash, above the air vents).

It's being advertised as a 2016 at several Renault dealership websites, unless I'm mistaken. Any Megane experts wanna help me out and confirm that I'm right about the year?

The Mégane(3rd gen) was facelifted in 2014 and was produced right through 2016 until the new one came out that year.

If you looking for the new Mégane(4th gen) you only going to find 2017's as SA only received it last year.

If you are looking at a Clio, then give the Clio GT Line a go, it has the more punchy 1.2T in it. The Dynamique has a 898cc Turbo motor built solely for low fuel consumption, while the GT Line isore potent.

Is that yours or did you see one and take a photo?

I wonder if Renault has stock yet. Twice now this year I've almost bought one. Once they didn't have stock and the second time I was after a second hand one but the seller never came back to me. First I was considering the GT-Line and later the GT.

After that I thought that maybe it would be better to pay off my house and then I can celebrate with a brand new car. So now I'm putting every bit of extra cash into the home loan. Hopefully if all goes well then the GT will be mine early next year. For now it's just a dream.

There's a guy driving a white one around here. He is always a couple of cars away so I can never get a proper look. The bits I see do look very sexy though.

Pulled the trigger on a Megane GT today. Basically new, 100 km on the clock for R374,900.

The Renault Retail group basically acquired a few of them and pre-registered them as 2018 models, but they're sitting in a warehouse. Technically they're demos, but since there's no mileage it's actually new. Fourways, Northcliff and East Rand are part of the group.
