But other than that it's brilliant, very responsive and works pretty much the way a tablet would - with swipe gestures, customisable home screens, pinch to zoom etc.

Nah. Many models no longer offer 3 door options. Clio, Astra, Meg, new A1, next gen A3 etc

3-door models don't pull in the sales (worldwide) like they used to so manufactures are simplifying the body styles.

So I was doing some GPS-recorded tests late on Saturday evening.

Using launch control, I was able to consistently get a time of 7.2 - 7.3 seconds for 0-100, which is very close to the claimed time of 7.1. Could probably put the difference down to altitude.

But what's surprising is that when I launched the car myself from idle, I was getting 6.5 - 6.6 seconds consistently! This propagates to the 1/4 mile time too, being about 0.6 - 0.7 seconds faster than using launch control.

It's a proper sleeper!

Very impressive for a 151kw "warm hatch". It's not the full fat Renaultsport experience, not build in the factory in Dieppe, but those times are pretty darn impressive.

Excellent times! I should try idle launch in my clio. if the tires are warm it launches hard and does 6.4... if itsnt, it spins and get 6.8.

Wow nice! I haven't even tried launch control yet. Must find some place to try it out this weekend.

Yay, my baby is now in the garage. Fixed the driveway so that the car can get in. Previously I drove an SUV and then a crossover so never noticed the steep slope into the garage.

I'm loving the car and can definitely recommend it.
