2017 VW Tiguan (2nd Generation)

Does anyone know if you can get the R-line style pack, but with normal suspension instead of sports suspension?

Unlikely, unless you do it seperately. but honestly the R line suspension is fine. its more the profile wheels thats stiff. the 19's are ok. heard the 20s are firm

20's are fine.

Is the firm suspension really noticeable while driving ? Most of the models in the country have them

I wouldnt call it firm. but more firmer than a non R versions. Its all relative and what you comparing it to.
 
I have the 2019 2.0 TSI with R line. Suspension is not stiff or tight whatsoever; feels like a normal vehicle.
 
Does the Android car (play connection to phone) for maps, work only via a cable or is there a work-around to connect via Bluetooth?

Bit of a schlep to connect via cable all the time.
 
Would you guys recommend the leather seat upgrade? At 10k additional I guess it won't break the bank but not sure about durability especially if you are looking to keep the car for a good 8-10 years?
 
What's the real world fuel consumption of these tiguans.

Got a loaner brand new CRV 1.5T AWD in the last month. There is a sticker on the window that says, 7.0L or something for fuel consumption. And it's not that at all. I did 1470km in about 4 weeks and filled the car up 3 times with 95 unleaded to do that before i filled it for the fourth time before I returned it. Most of the driving was commute type stuff with very little on free ways.

I missed my cc diesel and so glad it's back but it needs to go so want a Tiguan. Really liked being high up in CRV

To my previous, I had a CRV for a while that had this feature. It was really cool to use. I loved using the Google assistant to read Whatsapps, send WhatsApps, etc. She really can read well! It sounds almost Human at times. Transcribing emojis in messages are hilarious to listen too.Mapping including turn signaling etc all appeared in the main instrument window too when it was appropriate - just snazzy !

What I learned by mistake is that if you install the android auto app on your phone, then your phone can give you the similar layout (everything big) when it does connect to your cars
's Bluetooth and the phone can remian unlocked and screen on permanently Using that mode in my CC now. My next car has to have this feature though.
