As much as I dislike VW, that sounds pretty reasonable. At the end of 2019 when I started looking for my current car I test drove a 1.4t at Haval in Malmesbury. The car as a 2014 but with close to 150,000km on the clock - they told me they had just done the clutch which would otherwise cost whomever was buying it about R20k.
That's just how things are with manuals that sit in traffic.
I don't know about that, my wife's up is currently at 140k + km's sitting in really crap traffic daily without issues, even my old passat got traded in at 164k km with no clutch issues, and the dsg was known to have issues. This car must have had some serious abuse. Unless the kilometers is very high, they don't mention that.
