I walked into one of their dealerships last week, i asked and there was some sort of confusion. 2 guys said yes, about 5 were not sure, including the dealer principal.

This is what the new (three-pot) Ford Fiesta ST sounds like

When the new Ford Fiesta ST was unveiled back in early 2017, the big news was that the B-segment hot hatch would be powered by a turbocharged 1,5-litre, three-cylinder engine. Question is, how does this little three-pot sound?

Well, following the B-segment blaster’s launch in Europe, the folks over at Parkers have been kind enough to upload a short video to YouTube, giving us our first proper listen to the new Fiesta ST’s exhaust note (presumably with the active system’s valve open), both at idle and on the move. For the record, the Fiesta ST’s turbo-triple produces 147 kW and 290 N.m, with the hot hatch featuring selectable drive modes (normal, sport and track). It will complete the obligatory dash from standstill to 100 km/h in a claimed 6,5 seconds (and top out at 232 km/h), making it four-tenths quicker than the outgoing 1,6-litre model. It’s also swifter than the DSG-equipped Volkswagen Polo GTI (6,7 seconds) and EDC-only Renault Clio RS 220 Trophy (6,6 seconds).

Ford will build the new Fiesta ST in both three- and five-door body styles, with a manual gearbox as standard. A launch control system developed “for use on track only” will be optional, as will a Quaife (mechanical) limited-slip differential.

Loving the improvements tech wise . Especially the much needed interior and infotainment update. The exterior is meh though. My old spec ST looks better
