BMW i7 Handed the Art Car Treatment

Celebrating 30 years of BMW in Korea, Korean artist Lee Kun-Yong has transformed the i7 M70 into a BMW art car.

Marking 30 years of the Bavarian brand in South Korea, BMW has revealed an i7 M70 Art Car. Serving as a blank canvas for this special project, the German marque’s flagship all-electric luxury sedan was transformed with a bespoke wrap to celebrate the anniversary. The i7 M70 Art Car will be displayed at an art fair in Seoul, together with 18 miniature BMW Art Cars.

The creation by 83-year-old experimental artist Lee Kun-Yong also celebrates 50 years of BMW’s Art Car Collection. Since its inception in 1975, the BMW Art Car World Tour has produced 20 BMW Art Cars. For his design, Kun-Yong chose a vivid red base that remains visible on the body’s main panels, while the doors, bumpers, and bonnet feature his striking abstract artwork.

BMW SA Unveils Gary Player Signature 7 Series

BMW South Africa has revealed the Gary Player Signature 7 Series, a bespoke M760e model inspired by the SA golf legend it was named for.

Through the firm’s Individual Manufaktur service, BMW South Africa has produced a personalised M760e xDrive inspired by SA golf icon Gary Player. The luxury saloon features exclusive finishes and materials, and intricate detailing that reflect both Player’s legacy and BMW’s dedication to customisation.

The exterior is finished in two-tone, Black Sapphire Metallic and BMW Individual Dravit Grey Metallic to exude what the automaker calls “understated elegance”. Player’s signature logo is laser-engraved in the C-pillars, while the handcrafted interior showcases embroidered upholstery, engraved trim pieces, and subtle golf-inspired elements. Complementing the design are Parsons Xtreme Golf (PXG) accessories, a Montblanc key box, and a bespoke writing instrument. In July 2025, Player visited the BMW Group Plant in Dingolfing, Germany to witness the car’s completion and personally apply the “finishing touch” – the installation of the BMW roundel.

Commissioned in celebration of Player’s 90th birthday, the bespoke M760e xDrive is being auctioned to raise funds for the Blair Atholl Pre-Primary School through The Gary and Vivienne Player Foundation. The auction is already open (since 17 October) and closes on 30 October 2025 – one day before Player turns 90 on 1 November.
