Volkswagen Tayron SUV revealed and it’s heading to South Africa
The Tiguan Allspace is no more.. Long live the new Volkswagen Tayron.
Revealed for the European market this week, the new midsize SUV is based on the third-generation Tiguan, but is around 230mm longer, slotting between the latter and the more premium Touareg.
The new Tayron is expected to reach South African shores in 2025, with final timing as well as specifications and pricing to be confirmed closer to the time.
In Europe, the Tiguan Allspace replacement will be available in both five-seat and seven-seat configurations, with the former offering a holiday-friendly boot capacity of 885 litres.
If it wasn’t for the high risk factor associated with VW in SA, and the seemingly booming VW badge bandits - I’d go for this. Sucks that every other VW I see has been de-badged by criminals. A very nice car. Great design.
