A COMPANY accused of corruption in South Africa’s arms deal will supply the South African National Defence Force with a R20billion ground-to-air missile system over the next two years.
Hopefully the missiles can defend us against the B52 bombers from Mauritius doing daily bombing runs on the Pretoria CBD. While they are at it they should also shoot some terrorist penguins with our new submarines and destroyers. Link

Corrupt bastards spent all the kickbacks from the last arms deal, so a new one is needed.

Watch. They are going to buy an aircraft carrier next.

*sigh*

We are quite possibly the most unlikely country to ever be invaded. Why bother?

Back-pockets are doing the talking through the Yellow pages as the fingers are stuck in the pies!

What on earth do we need a ground to air missle system for? Do they intend shooting down airlines that that havent had problems yet?

What are you moaning about? We need those missiles to defend ourselves agains..er.....um.....Bush? or maybe Zimbabwe? The Chinese? maybe Armageddon? Anyway thats not the point. WE can fsuking afford it you know. We do not have poverty AND everybody is having a good life. We do not need the money for anything else You know. All government members made enough for the back pocket, it is now the Army Generals turn. They can sell those Sams again to Palestine to help their course. Maybe a few for Darfur could help speed thing up there. The AWB could also do with a few or more.
FSucking Zombie pigs!

maybe we are worried that bob mugabe will attack us

WHEN WE SHOULD BE ATTACKING HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IM ALSO SURE THE REALLY POOR IN THIS COUNTRY WILL FEEL ALOT SAFER KNOWING THEY CANT BE BOMBED AND WOULD RATHER STARVE AND LIVE ON THE STREETS

um... with 20 billion rand we could so make our own stock. theyre not fighter jets.... theyre missiles.

What a spectacular waste of money.Rather give the corrupt official 1 million rand than wasting 20 billion so he can get the 1 million kickback. Pathetic.

R20Billion!
Makes the Land Bank's R2Billion look like pocket money.

Let one Official ever tell me there is no money for Roads, Hospitals, Schools and I think I will scream at him/her.
At my son's School they are scratching their heads on how to raise about R50K for a swimming pool for the kids. One roofs tiles are missing from the wind. The list of things needed is quite long, but we have money for Missiles?
Government needs to get their priorities in order. This is ridiculous. R20Billion. What the fark do I pay taxes for.
I am confused.

Did anyone watch Carte Blanche on Sunday night about the last arms deal. It was mentioned to one of the authors that the kickback was used by the ANC for their election campaign. Don't we have more elections in the not to distant future?

Here's a scary thought. Perhaps the ANC are planning to do something that could prompt an invasion :eek:

over 20% of our armed forces are HIV positive. Kinda expected from an army with a lot of rapists in it.

All this new weaponry will go well with a nuke

I'm sure they'll make a plan when the kickbacks from the SAMs run out. Or after the aircraft carrier. Dunno which one. I'll let them surprise me.
