20bn SAM missiles for SA

20 billion missiles????

That's 3 for every person on earth!

Don't be dumb ... one single missile like for example the Patriot costs nearly $600,000 USD and not to mention the costs of spares, training , launcher and tracking radars etc ...

Out of interest anybody know the size of our fellow African state airforces?

:o

Of the low and slow variety

Tried checking globalsecurity.org, which usually has that kind of stuff but it seems they didn't make the list. :D

Edit: Zim seems to have some fairly decent stuff, but do they have jet fuel I wonder? :D

I hope our sams can handle them. Wouldn't want over exert myself shooting it down with my slingshot :D

Yeah that could be a small problem. But BoB doesn't let little things like that get in his way does he . Of course those 12 year old war vets are highly skilled so if they do get up there the sams will have a hard time hitting them :(

Thankfully we've got our affirmative piloted uber expensive Gripens as back up. :o

Gotta love the commies hey Tubby

Still great planes those :eek:If they are in any sort of running order. That goes for the pilots as well :D

Lol! Is there anything you can't look up on Wikipedia? :D

What is the Daily Despatch? Can't find this story anywhere else. Anyone else find the DA to make more than usual jabs at the opposition party when their members are in the spotlight?

Maybe they think if they commit genocide they could be.
Like Robert Mugabe? Oh, wait, no invasion there. No country is going to invade South Africa - this country is rather insignificant in the bigger picture.

Doesn't mean the government doesn't suffer from delusions of grandeur though.
