22seven dubious T&Cs getting revamped

Do the South African banks` t&cs allow third parties to access client info?

This service is similar to mint.com which has been running successfully for years. However, there T&C's are not anything compared to 22seven, the reason I have just closed my account.

I asked Absa this and they just said that their T&Cs make you liable for any losses if you give out your credentials. Nothing about 22seven/Yodlee actually accessing the data being against their terms. I suspect the same is true for other banks.

At this point ,very unlikely that 22seven will be getting my login/pin/password. Fraud syndicates have moles in several organisations. That's how they are able to raid bank accounts.

How is 22seven going to protect their customers from fraud syndicates?
Its still early days,so I will take a look and see approach to this service.

I gave then my read only profile.

I'm concerned about the spam i started getting since reg. Anyone else. A friend of mine as well.

Basically Mr Tisdall saying... damn you caught us... so we'll just rework the T&C's so it's not so obvious...

Yes Mr Tisdall... we read the small print!
