2GB data prices in SA compared

Is the CellC 2GB Prepaid deal no longer available? It's only listed under contracts.

Why no mention that Vodacom's 1+1 is actually only 1GB of regular data and not 2 as the "article" uses to calculate the per GB. Depending on how you use it it can come to R249/GB. This creativity may as well be applied to Cell C's 5GB to get R33/GB. Turns Vodacom into an absolute laughing stock.

Yes it's still available. And no certainty that it will end or won't be replaced with something better.

I have seen recent ads for it - it should still be available.

That makes Cell C with 2GB for R83, or R41.50 per GB.

So the price leader has been left out of the table ???

What works great for me is the Cell C prepaid recharge promotion,I hope it doesn't end soon. On monday I load R50 and get the free 500MB I repeat this 3 times then convert the R150 to another 500MB, so I end up paying R150 for 2GB pm.

8ta's Go Big is essentially 3GB.
It's 2gb and 1 gb nightime usage....right...?

Also vodacoms 1gb + 1 gb....is this their upcoming promotion that only starts 19 september that is listed in the table...?

Is 8ta good enough for the 2 year contract? That's the only thing holding me back.. 10gb is great but what if u can't end up using it due to poor connection? That's what happened to me with CellC! First 3 months were awesome & the following 8 have been pathetic. I haven't moved so it shouldn't be a coverage issue since I only use the device @ home in the same spot.. I would really like to know how 8ta's customers have found their experience please.

This BS again. Where and when in the next 5 years will you get 1GB for R20 odd on mobile broadband?

Why is the 2GB CellC not there?

O and this:

Vodacom 1GB + 1GB R249 R124.50 is that 1GB extra a free promo only or is it actually 2GB? If it's not 2GB it actually is the 1GB at R 249.00

Well if I knew that answer I would also know whether signing a 24 month contract is worthwhile or not..

Yip, 1GB + 1GB "promotional Night Owl data" != 2GB...

rpm,

In all due respect that tables are not accurate and not a true resemblance of how things currently stands. Please forgive me if I missed something from the article that might indicate why the tables are the way they are. But they are not a true reflection of how things stand currently.

edit: Sorry I missed this...

The following table provides an overview of some of the most prominent data offerings which were launched over the last few weeks.
