2GB data prices in SA compared

Neotel needs a full Cell C treatment if they want to get customers

@rpm: This article reminds of a News24 article - factual errors and poor research.

It is a bit skewed, or rather....can be misread, by including some with modems. Should rather have quoted the excl modem price on ALL packages to compare.
My Cell C - without modem, costs R 83.33 for 2GB every month. That equates to R 41.66 per GB

How does the NeoGo data package perform compared to the others? For R399 for the dongle and R99/month for 2GB, I must say, it represents a compelling reason to go the Neotel route. I'm a bit concerned though about performance (I live in Centurion).

When can we get a performance chart comparison of the available packages?

CellC wins for prepaid with the 5GB x 12 for R1999 which works out to R33.32 per GB. Even their 2GB x 12 for R999 (R41.63 per GB) leads the table.

These deals are running for a year and were left out but Vodacom's double data special which only starts in a month and will only run for a month, is in the table? How much does Vodacom pay Mybroadband to pull the wool over consumers eyes?

Whether this new table is only for newish deals is irrespective. The best deals should also be shown for comaprison or such an article serves no purpose other than to mislead.

Either another advertorial (like the Vodacom "slashes" prepaid data prices advertorial), or just plain shoddy work. Take your pick, mbb.

The fact that it's so blatantly obvious makes it very disappointing. I don't expect the absolute best from these articles but I DO expect them to at least contain all the relevant information on what is currently available. Maybe someone must just draw up another table for myBB members where we can correctly compare what is currently available from all operators.

+ 1 billion

I wasn't aware of the 2GB + 2GB promo from Iburst till someone mentioned it now.
Please can someone abreast with all the new packages and promos make us a table please?

I would but it's a little bit too tricky from a phone :D

Always trying to make vodacom look good. Even thou its not working. The 1gb+1gb is not 2gb its a 1gb data bundle. You cant say it 2gb if its only for a month. Even if you do compare to the other 2gb bundles from other networks its stil far more expansive.

This is a bit of a no-brainer

Not if you take into consideration the issue of coverage.

Devil's advocate here since it is the highest priced ISP but, MTN has the best coverage. At the end of the day, this is what matters especially when the differences in price are marginal and superficial.

Don't get me wrong, 8ta's 2GB Go Big is value for money compared to MTN's but compared to Vodacom there is really no difference. The difference here is the quality of network.

It's easy to pick! It's an advertorial, like the 'story' about the Vodacom app store and the Playbook. Lately it appears that everytime someone @ Vodacom f@rts there's a story about it on mybb.
