Is it possible to get a "cloned" second 8.ta sim?
The reason for this; I took out a contract on the 10 Gig Special. This I use on my home pc with usb dongle.
I now got a tablet, which I also connect on the internet.
It's a huge struggle to unplug and switch dongles between devices.
If it's possible what wil the costs be?

Unfortunately, the service is not available with 8ta.

The first of the SPs that launch good data deals with dual sim will get my $$$. :-) with smart phones and the need for data usage on the router at home... this is a must. users have been asking for this for a while now!!! Come cellc, show the way.....again!

router is one solution. buy a router, inside the sim card, it can provide internet for all your family.
another solution is using your PC as a site of wifi, it can provide you the internet for ipad even you phone. but your PC and phoen must supoort wifi.

Yea - also wish they had the DataSIM for the same reason actually.

Are there any updates on the "2 SIMs, one contract" issue/request?

I already have a router at home (TP-LINK where you can plug the USB modem into) and got my iPad last week. My fiancée takes the modem with her to work, because she's on the road a lot, and my current job doesn't give wifi access to non-company computers.

I just want to have a micro SIM and the normal SIM, so that there can be no family drama... :P

Hi NielJoubert!

Not as yet... We have many queries for this and we have responded and did forward all these queries to our product developers. They confirm that they are working on it and it will be advertised once this is available.

I wonder if they will be able to do the multi sim feature on prepaid as well. That will give them a one up on other service providers. I'm sure a lot of people will buy the 60+60 promo and like a multi sim deal. Don't know if it will be possible though.

One month later. Any progress on this?
Have a look at this statement of 8ta Managing Executive Amith Maharaj one year ago.

Put your money (products) where your mouth is..

Hi there

We have sent your query to an executive level to assist with feedback.

Hi

We have received a response and have been informed that while not having a confirmed launch date, it is still on the cards which is in line with Amith Maharaj's statement "This is something that we are considering for the future"

Bump...
No feedback 8ta??

Hi leonbrink!

This option is for business customers only. We have not rolled out this option for residential customers. We can only share with you what we have been informed and this comes from an executive level as well as product developers/managers. We have no more information on this for you and will share as soon as we get more information.

I would LOVE to see this in action as well, especially since I have tablet, laptop and smartphone at home which I'd like to have online at the same time. I currently use the tablet at Wifi AP, but when I'm on the road and my wife is home only one of us can use the simcard.
