I have used Telkom mobile a few years ago here. It works. I'm just used to the faster speeds now from Vodacom but they are expensive (at least 50Mbps). I have also tried MTN (supersonic) and Rain here as well a couple years ago. Both were so terrible that I had to return it within the first week. At least Telkom still works but it slows down a lot in the evenings so it's probably tower congestion.

You bought a router that was not in many people mind .
 
Huawei B618s-65d or B818-263 try to borrow them around your neighborhood.
 
I was always able to transfer 10 gig per month to another telkom sim via the telkom app. 1 gig per day. It's not working anymore anyone have the same or a solotion for this?

Is there anyone in Sandton/Morningside that has this package? It sometimes just stops working for like 10 minutes at a time with zero internet. But the other 99% of the time it's fine.

Have you tried inserting that sim card in your phone. Dialing *180# then option 11 (Manage TelkomSA-R) and blocking it.

Just tried it now (on the router USSD). Got this message. There was no other options.

Your product is currently configured for the Telkom Mobile network only

Wanted to sign up for this package but saw one of the threads a guy did get multi sim on the 2TB

Is that true?

I also want to know. I have heard of people being able to get multi sim on this deal also.

So I did confirm at the Telkom store that the 2TB is allowed to get multi sim as “it’s an open line and not an uncapped deal “

Will get this next month as can’t pass on the multi sim

Strange, since other people were told it was not possible. You can only transfer a limited amount of data to another SIM on the same Smartbroadband tariff plan.

But multi sim shares the 2TB from the main sim no need to transfer data
