I only manage to get this speed. Had the 22d got this speed. Found a 65d same speed.
Did you force change it to B40 to see if it make a difference?

Know of any other routers?Telkom has their own tower and infrastructure. If you are in Telkom coverage it's on their own towers even if they share a physical tower with another network (which most networks do btw) it's still their own hardware. They will only roam on Vodacom when there is no coverage in which case these bundles and deals do not work at all.
You need to get a router that supports Band 40. You can play around with band 1 + Band 3 aggregation and maybe some Band 20 but the speed happens on Band 40 because of the amount of spectrum they have in this frequency.

Using my mate 40 pro I get roughly the same speed also. Oh well.
HiThis TP link support all but it just a cat 6 Lte router

Know of any other routers?
Hi
Please clarify meaning of "only cat 6 LTE" router?
High comfort is provided by the LTE6 category, it is incomparably better than the previous ones. It's as much as 300 Mgbit/s download, 4G network support, as well as aggregation of two frequency bands. What does this mean? This allows you to use two frequency bands in a very comfortable way at the same time. The LTE 6 router will therefore allow you to combine two frequencies in one channel, resulting in a wide band with exceptional speed and very low latency. Such a router will prove to be a perfect solution for businesses and homes.
However, the best router for modern, constantly growing companies will be a device of LTE category 12. It already allows you to aggregate up to four frequency bands! In Poland, there are still few companies that offer LTE category 12 devices. Most often, these are external routers. On our batna24 online shop we also have such devices. These include MikroTik Chateau LTE12 RBD53G. This is the router of the future, which not only adapts to the latest technology, but is constructed in such a way that it will also cope with newer solutions that will appear on the market. It is also an access point that has 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports. It is also equipped with a microSIM slot and a USB port. Most importantly, however, it is 12 LTE category, so it allows for an incredible throughput of 600 Mbit/s! This is one of the devices that use LTE of the best categories. It is definitely worth to verify the brand when deciding on a specific router with this LTE category. You should always check whether it is a known, professional and recommended brand. When shopping at Batna24 online store you don't have to worry about it. We offer our customers only high quality devices of the best brands, which are not only known but also appreciated all over the world. Trust the professionals and visit batna24.com!
Thanks. I couldn't see anything in the TP link. This article explain the difference

LTE categories - get to know them all and find out what they mean when choosing a router

ThanksThe B525-65a is a good option if ou can get it. No 4x4 mimo but should get some decent speed on it.
Thanks
The b525 65a seems a cat 6 lte. So tp link same.
But B618 65d is a cat 11 lte? Thus way faster than both above.
I think only 2300 or 2600.I am certifiably confused.
Right because my one and only brain-cell is about to pop. If a router say support a band and the bands are shown as 2300MHz/2600MHz does this mean it supports anything between 2300 to 2600 or does just support 2300 AND 2600 as an example
Right now I am starting to understand a bit more thank youI think only 2300 or 2600.
I see Huawei B618s-65d Supports:
- 4G LTE Band 1/3/5/7/8/28 (FDD 700/850/900/1800/2100/2600MHz & TDD 2300MHz)
- DC-HSPA+/HSPA+/HSPA/UMTS:Band 1/5/8 2100MHz/900MHz/850MHz
- EDGE/GPRS/GSM:Band 2/3/5/8 1900MHz/1800MHz/850MHz/900MHz

HI Cave yea if I force over to band 40 I get the same download speed. But very low upload like 8mbps. If I force to auto same download speed but upload goes to 20mbps.Did you force change it to B40 to see if it make a difference?
HI Cave yea if I force over to band 40 I get the same download speed. But very low upload like 8mbps. If I force to auto same download speed but upload goes to 20mbps.
But if I force to band 40 how do I know for a fact it is indeed using 4x4 mimo.Yes Telkom has auto switching on the towers. On Auto they prefer band 40 for download but when you upload a lot it drops band 40 and switches to the other bands for uploads. If you force it to band 40 the upload is capped at around 10Mbps or so because it stays on Band 40 TDD.
