2TB Anytime data

Speeds are basically the same here in bloem as up in jhb where I stay. Can't complain.

Another interesting fact.

I found band 3 to be a lot more stable than band 40.

Band 3 speeds are lower but you get stable speeds throughout the day. I much prefer a stable connection than a faster connection with more instability.

50mbps download with a 20mbps upload I'm happy with that. I can stream on the TV. Scroll Facebook and watch YouTube all at the same time with no lags or buffer issues.

Honestly much prefer being on band 3 on this package.

yea it is late I am working late on a project that actually do have a none disclosure. Am I a professional now?

Anyhow back to the data thing. Honestly I need 10mb or better not much better 15 will do well.

here is why, my work means I must be able to view content in 720p minimum, I need to be able to communicate on zoom and be able to remote in at the same time. I need to be able to download large files and send large files within a reasonable time. Normally no bigger then 10Gbs.

So I know for a fact a 15Mb line can do all this fast enough. It is not screaming fast by any means BUT I can get my work done. If i can get a stable 17mb line or even 20mb line that would be the best solution for me especially if I can actually afford it.

I am a single parent working from home because I am a single parent there isn't anyone to help with the bills. So cost is a big deal for me. IF my pay reaches the R9k mark or even the R8k mark after tax great! brilliant! But right now my rent is taking half my income and the essentials consumes the rest. I cannot part with R1k a month as it is now. BUT I am getting mad skills going and I am getting darn bloody good to the point that companies are noticing me "hence the project" SO who knows maybe next year I be putting up screenshots of 100+ speeds or even 1Gbs speeds.

I am not defeated I am just working hard.

Just confirm which router you have again.

Also have you tried hard wiring the pc or item that needs the speed the most? My desktop and smart TV are connected via Lan cable this in itself can give you a massive bump

It says R699 month-to-month, but after clicking apply it says R699 x24 months. Am I missing something here? I want this deal but only if it is indeed month-to-month

--edit:
I see if you apply for the R769 deal (with router) that's marked as month-to-month. So someone made an oopsie
It is a month to month but you have to give a 30 days notice before you cancel

I have a problem with the online system, I completed the forms, and they sent me an email saying someone will contact me within 48 hours. Then yesterday someone phoned, halfway through the call they dropped it, and never called back, so now I have no idea what is going on, tried calling the no back but it does not get picked up. So how does a person get this 2TB deal if the online system is not working?
I am a Telkom Fibre Specialist I can assist to get this deal

Speeds hittings now between 4 and 5am speeds of 30 to 40mbps. Signal strength near perfect.

Frustrating because at a friend's place in Centurion area, I easily got 200 plus speeds (not Telkom LTE but Vodacom 5G yet at my home no 5G. Frustratingly Vodacom 5G as well as Rain 5G just a few streets away on 3 sides).

They call at awkward times and should show caller ID that its Telkom calling.

As mentioned earlier in the thread, not all antennas have 4x4 MIMO. In fact, some B818s (not the model we get in SA, I believe) are 8x8 MIMO so sometimes an antenna may not be the best option.

I used to get 100-130Mbps down and 20-30Mbps up with the local B818 on auto with Telkom.

I can imagine the position you are in is tough, I found an antenna with the TS9 connections for you.

You just need to collect them in Pretoria install is pretty simple.

If you keen drop me a dm with your bank details and I'll send you the details. Least I can do to help you.

I know you haven't asked but I can see you trying your best!

Lol @ 7 Years.......

Till today, I cannot FFS get anything on Telkom. On their VETI system it shows I owe them money, on my account statements or anywhere it shows a balance of R0.00. I ask them to send me the outstanding invoice, till today I am Waiting. I got no judgments nothing against me, MY Credit score is above average etc. But they cannot send me prove that I owe them.. Telkom billing is weird very weird.

Need to cancel as well. Just need another alternate wireless backup in case fibre goes off.

Sitting by the router (edit the huawei B615 65D)I get 100mbps plus.

I usually test via tplink router (edit in bedroom about 30m away) used as an AP.

Its a Gb AP TPlink AC750 connected via cat5e so should be able to provide these speeds.
