2TB Anytime data

That's always an option if I can't source a real MR600. Does it show full signal details (SRQ, SRP) and support USSD commands?

Anyone know of a good omnidirectional antenna for indoor use? Looks like it's going to be quite a while before I can get my X-Pol 6 mounted. So a smaller indoor alternative would be great.
That piece of crap doesn't support ussd commands. It does show the signal stats though. But it's a piece of crap. I was so glad when I got my old b618 to work with my vodacom contract sim instead of the alcatel.

Good to know. Guess I'll try to get the MR600 then since I can't get a B618-65D for the life of me.

Out of interest why does Afrihost's 2TB Telkom LTE cost an additional R100pm? What comes that extra cost?

Or am I looking at the wrong offering?
Telkom is weird. I got a call from them a couple of days ago and they wanted to refund me from something I cancelled in March. And no, the phone number was local so not a scam. I told them I have not had any products with them for about 3 years since I cancelled my ADSL.

The B618-65d finally arrived. Huge shout-out yo @Yuu for allowing me to test it before I buy.

First impression is that there's not a huge increase in performance compared to the ZTE MF286C I have. Download speed is around the same, upload speed is almost 2x higher than the ZTE.

With a quick test using the temporary pole mount and XPOL 6 I got the signal to -RSRQ -5, RSRP-82, RSSI -61 and SINR 18
Speeds @ 16:00
Ping 20, 34Mbs down 22.5 up
Ping 20, 28.2Mbs down and 22.3 up

The downloads are actually slower than without the antenna. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I struggled to get the TS-9 pigtails connected. Is there a trick to getting them in? I used firm pressure and twisting them slightly while pushing in. Is that the right way? They seem pretty fragile and I'm not sure when to know they are seated properly. Once attached can you leave them in even when running on internal antennas?

Disconnected antenna and moved router to same spot in room where the ZTE got the best signal.
-RSRQ -5, RSRP-92, and SINR 13
Ping 24, 42.8 down. 15,2 up
Ping 20, 43.9 down, 15.6 up
From 22:00:
Ping 21, 50.3 DL, 13,9 UL
Ping 19, 52.5 DL, 15,9 UL
Ping 19, 52.9 DL, 16.2 UL

The router only shows Telkom 4G and not 4G+. Not sure if I'm missing that it switches when data is being used. The ZTE showed LTE-A when doing speed tests.

What's the best bandwidth and channel to use for 5GHz wifi? On auto it doesn't appear to show up on my devices.

I'll do some more speed tests once nighttime data is active. Running out of data bundle. (That 2TB SIM needs to get here ASAP)

Make sure to force band 40. Those uploads looks like it's on band 3 or band 1.

Is there a way to check if B40 is available? I tried on my E5572 and it said no connection was available. I suspect we only have B3 running here.

Found an app called LTE manager, which shows this. Not sure why aggregation is 'no' or if the bands it shows are accurate.

Check my speed tests 160 dl 20 up 13ms that's what you can expect in ideal location.

I use xpol too, it is a little difficult to connect. I'm sure there are youtube vids to help if you don't come right. Xpol is 1.5 to 2x better for me

I don't know why you speeds connected to the XPOL were so bad. Signal stats are way better, but internal antennas outperform it for some reason.

So bad? The xpol kills internal antenna. I said xpol is 1.5x to 2x better for me. Not following what you saying?

I'm still on the 220gb Telkom LTE package from AH. Waiting for the upgrade to kick in.
How do these stats look?

Was speaking about my results.

With XPOL 6:
