Why not use the quote button?"If this thing hits, all of us would be affected by it. Pretty soon the middle class would be doing hand labour, like digging graves.Thousands and thousands of them. My feeling is that the upper class might even cease to exist."

I agree with Mezu, what makes you think mother nature wants you in the gene pool. On a side note to the Aids / Flu which is worse etc.. You don't die from Aids it strips your bodies immune system and you die from complications of other diseases like Flu. So if swine flu is classed as an epidemic then it would be decimating to the people living with full blown Aids and as such compassion should be shown because it is not a disease that only belongs to gay people and junkies etc... It effects alot of people who through no fault of their own might have contracted the HIV strain.

You do not technically die from AIDS but the reason you died was AIDS destroyed your immune system so in fact aids killed you.

No. Fact is, Aids does not kill you. The infections/diseases etc., against which no longer have any defence, kill you.
In other news 100s of people went down with flu today, yesterday, the day before........![]()
jeez 30! call the medics!
lets be honest though, people are aware of it and should follow precautions, that all that is needed, we have an Aids pandemic to worry about so the government can't be hypocritical now.
/being sarcastic
Ok so a whole 30 people have the flu, millions have aids.
Yea let's worry about 30 flu cases. I think since the time you posted this thread 30 people have died from aids, let us know when people are actually start dropping dead.
I would hate to see this hit the squatter camps... if its not so bad already for them... it will be ghastly when/if swine flu gets to them
Face it... it will affect the whole country... then we will see what you nay sayers have to moan about.
All I'm saying is... don't take it so lightly... like the gauverment did with aids
I myself thought all the hype and flu was over after our "first case"... but hey... its worse 3 weeks later... ignore it again without looking out for yourselves...
Who knows... it could be 300.000 next by year end... if scoffed at and ignored?just a thought

Nobody outside Mexico with the exception of 2 or 3 americans have died from it though. It's just a flu that we don't have a strong immunity against. Majority of people who catch it require no hospital admittance. So it is slightly overdramatised.
