3D on Samsung LED TV

I tried again lastnight and I can see the lines clearly and curved lines are not stepped in the .mpo file. I believe mine is outputting full HD 3D. I'm on firmware 001017 if that helps.
Interesting, maybe they fixed up the D6600 in fw 1017, but not the D6000?

Could be a processing limitation on the D6000 engine, I would assume the D6600 has a more powerful one by virtue of the 400Hz CMR vs 200Hz CMR spec difference.

Roman, I checked my TV box last night and they replaced the FHD 3D sticker (like in above mentioned article) with the normal 3D sticker.

Does not really bother me that much. I didn't buy the TV for it's 3D only. I still enjoy watching 3D on it though :)

If you messing around with 3D then check out the Youtube app .Search for 3D and there are a few clips you can test your TV with.I have watched Thor and Rio in 3D via my TV since i don't have a player.Glasses are very comfortable but one 3D movie a night is more than enough.Viewing distance plays a very important role to get the best of 3D.Mine is about 2.5M for a 46' and still feel the need to be closer to have things fly past me :)

Yeah, I view at about the same distance. The half vertical res crippling in 3D is not that apparent at this distance, like it is with 2D.

Have been 'sampling' a 1080p SBS copy of Avatar 3D, since the Bluray 3D is not available for purchase. When played off my PS3's HD its pretty awesome.

Its sad that only the US and UK get the 3D app from Samsung.SA Smarthub doesn't have as much content although there are a few good apps.Viaway is one of them. Some cool clips but you need at least a 2MB line to enjoy the streaming.I downloaded Imedia Share for IPhone .This allows you to transfer videos ,music and photos to your TV.Also have a few streaming channels and its totally free.I am trying to find a way to obtain the 3D app however i think it requires a VPN to the US.Hopefully it will release to us soon.

Yeah, I also tried to find the Explore 3D app, but doesn't appear for me either.

In this article the Samsung SA rep makes it sound like it is available locally ... http://mybroadband.co.za/news/broad...-service-hampered-by-costly-sa-broadband.html

Corrie Labuschagne, said that the service “has not seen as great an uptake locally”
Err, if you don't make the app available how can you get "great uptake"?
