3G DNS settings

Is there anyway, besides jail breaking my ipad, to change the DNS settings for the 3G connection? I want to use services like Pandora.

You have to jail break most wireless devices to set your own DNS server.
Have you checked the app store for apps that do this?

The alternative is to use a vpn service when you want to access Pandora/GrooveShark/Spotify.

Errr...you dont have internet because you don't have credit. Get credit, problem solved.

Ladies and gentleman... dannotsobright. On topic... if you used a phone as a wifi hotspot, connected your iPad to the wifi would you not be able to change the dns? I change the DNS on my wifi connection at home, just never tried this way.

No, the phone just shares what it received as an automatic connection. You cant change the IP range etc that it will form its personal hotspot on.
