4 day Uncapped Express+ ADSL for R99

One can pull quite a few GBs with this and a 4mb line(maybe even 8mb line)...Looks like a few leeches will definitely get this.
 
Yeah uncapped express is fast.. you can do lots of GB's for that R99 .. But alas , I have nothing to download.. :( Maybe a couple of HD versions of the Weakest Link. hehehe.

You have to use at least 6gb (normal unshaped: R19 x 5 = R95) to make it worthwhile, but can't think what I'd download. Perhaps an entire season of a series but thats not really that important..or interesting. Any suggestions? Most people aren't looking to download huge files, but just want the internet to work quickly when they need it and not to have to worry about usage and caps.
 
Meh, OpenWeb often does this as well... and I'm already on Uncapped Express+ :p
 
After reading some threads this weak about the adsl deals the rest of the world gets, this is bollocks, zero progress!
this doesnt even deserve a thread its a joke, Axxess know full well this is pathetic, R999 should be closer to R499 and the lite version that is shaped to death should be R199, maybe when the linespeed increases to 10mb you can have a special on that people still pay 999 for 4mb/s and if they pay only in R50 notes they get a free axxess pencil!
 
I have had this service since March 2009 and this year since the "cheap" uncapped services have come out I have consistently had a slower download speed (between 30 to 40kbytes)... and I download 24/7/365. I was wondering if any others have noticed something like this with their Axxess Express account?
 
What a load of steaming gimmicky rubbish! I can't believe people actually think this is a good thing. This is nothing but scraps thrown out to a desperate bandwidth hungry public. Come back to me when you can offer a R99 uncapped account for the WHOLE month, FFS. We're tired of these stupid publicity seeking gimmicks.
 
**** you axxess. For the past month or two, the speeds on your prepaid gigs have been *** slow. If you're going to give data away to all and sundry, specifically asking for abuse, then either fix your router's prioritisation, or lose me as a customer. When I pay R 69 for ONE gig, I expect 4 mbps, virtually unshaped! Not 0.5 mbps browsing and 0.1 mbps on skype.

The Express + package has taken some strain - I believe that is why IS is in the progress of doing bandwidth upgrades. From what I have read here on the forum and by what I have experienced with my downloading, that has been the case. With that said, I have still been able to get a reasonable speed (over 400KB/s) with this package through all the ups and downs that the MWEB people and others on the "cheapy" uncapped packages have been getting. (Normal speed is in the region of 440KB/s on a 4MB line) You might argue that the price is a bit high - but believe me this package still delievers!! And I stick with what I have said on this forum before - you get what you pay for... ;)

Account works well, getting full 4mb/s line speeds. Keep this up.

What is up with all these ISP's stupid offerings that are time based?
Uncapped on weekends, download at times when everyone is sleeping and now uncapped for 4 days?!

MWeb got it right - I can download what I want when I want.
I don't have to schedule downloads, leave my computer on, wake up to surf at 3AM, wait for weekends to come around so that I can download, etc.
Flat rate, always on - start competing or get lost.
 
Gotta agree with the nay-sayers. This is a load of tripe.

As much as I hate supporting big companies and their specific bad history, MWEB is looking more like an ISP should look these days. You pay an access fee and then you can do what ever the hell you want. All this metering and throttling is pissing me off big time.
 
This whole week the rate limit was removed at 18:45..... Seems its now earlier than 8pm.
