Dealing with a proper DDOS attack is not funny. Also, how is it Absolute Hosting’s fault that they got the attack? Could have been plenty of reasons someone would want to attack a website hosted by them.
100% and thanks for the sanity. The last time we were the victim of such attack we found out that a client of ours was the intended target.

The quotes we received for this last ordeal were in excess of 78k per month for 100MBPS with a 12 month contract

Erm, their proposed privacy laws. The FPB. DSTV lobbying. co.za domain debacle... etc, etc.
These muppets should keep faaaaar away from the internet and hosting, here in SA.
But they are gonna try regulate, corrupt, and squeeze every drop from this.

Thought some people would have mentioned that domains.co za should also be here. For me there is no other choice or then also Xneelo as alternative

Some pretty big and extremely competent players missing from this article...? Not that there's anything wrong with the four (that I know of, I've only had experience with one of them), but it's easy to argue that certain players should feature in that article more so than some that are already there.

The outage caused a significant inconvenience to our clients that were affected. Our teams worked hard to restore services and do so without any client data loss. We apologise for the downtime and inconvenience caused by that outage.
Ay dawg what happened happened I just want people to be informed. You can probably IP peep that I'm still a customer.

Thats what I thought, been along term Elitehost customer, very happy with them.

Need support I get it immediately from opening ticket to response which is also normally the solution depending on issue is never more than 1/2 hour.

Pretty sure there has been at least one negative article about the listed in the last 12 months, not to mention Gallo manor.

Looking at the the offerings from listed, I would say also they are the most cost effective looking at just storage and board band costs
yeah, +1 to elitehost - they just solved a major headache I was having with some software - the support was beyond the scope of just hosting, Jason and his staff are usually on the ball.
