My ųtorrent is flying along, but I can only browse the Webafrica site, nothing else.
 
Anyone having hassles with SABNZBD?

Did my usual 3 1/2 gigs per hour until 04:00 and for 4:00 and 5:00 dropped to an gig per hour even though I had lots queued. I am trying a DL now and not even 1 KB/s :(

I will be out of the running for the top 20 now :)

Just switched to my back up account and everything is flying - full speed download.

What's up WA - extreme throttling of my capped account???? :confused::confused:

I was able to max out my SABNZBD using the IS news server.

However, it does seem Web Africa's session monitoring still sucks.

I had my stuff going from 0:05 to 5:55 ..... yet almost 2GB was allocated for the period of 11-12pm and 6-7am - which obviously eats into my anytime data.

Interesting a few weeks ago I had the exact same issue as I started my DL at 00:03 and I also lost 2 + gigs to anytime. After much coming and going WA did give me some extra cap but never admitted there was a problem. I have learnt now to see what my anytime usage is before going to bed and then checking when I get up to see all is OK

They've had a problem with sessions for years now. Back when I had their uncapped (2009-ish), they were adamant they didn't have issues picking up the 0-6am slots. Yet their bandwidth logging said otherwise.

Most importantly, when I work from home it is typically an emergency which is usually within the download window.

Myself and most of the people in our office use Web-Africa because we've found it to be fairly reliable. But we are all in the same boat, we move where we get the best consistency and availability.

Did you upgrade your network at all in anticipation of this?

Managed to get another 16-17GB this morning. Will see when they update where it's all been allocated.
 
My DSL console doesn't seem to be working properly and is showing the last update at 12:17 am even though I DL about 12 gigs in DL+ time

Hope you don't have any hassles Froot

Yay. So today's bandwidth was allocated correctly :D

Like 10MB outside of 12-6am.

Hey all,

I think this is a pretty cool idea but I think its more a ploy to get people into the idea of download during these hours of 00h00 - 06h00 when WA/IS have the least amount of bandwidth being used. Its a good way to get this spare capacity consumed and hopefully push more people to download during this time as opposed to during business hours.

I definitely think they could be reaching capacity as I couldn't get full 20mb speed between these hours but when it got to just past 06h00 back to full line speed, could also be telscum exchange tho. Would be interesting if they would release this information.

I did not DL until 6 this morning so not sure, but yesterday last two hours dropped to about 40% line speed and then after 6 everything died - maybe WA trying to control things a bit?

Any idea on why my DL slowed down so much and then could not finish?
 
I am on a 10 meg line and can DL 3,5+ gigs per hour

This morning the first hour I managed 2 gigs and 2,4 in the next hour.

Prior to this promo I had rock solid performance during DL+ hours; this is the second day running that I have had issues (yesterday was 2 gigs; 2,3 gigs and then 3,5 gigs)

I do hope this is a temporary glitch and not the new normal.

WA helper - any thoughts?

I had the same issues yesterday morning.

Forgot to connect to the WA account last night and ended up downloading off my normal account..... and it was flying at 100% speed.
