50tb capped data free with webafrica!!

Those top two guys on the top of the leaderboard must be on the 100Mbps fibre trial or something.

Even at full throttle on a 40Mbit line you can only manage around 90GB per 6 hours. 90GB * 4 days = 360GB.

Or are they connecting from multiple lines on the same account? Is that allowed?

I think it allows 4 concurrent connections. Yes I think the first guy is using a 40Mbps line and 20Mbps line.

Seems I can do about 15GB per hour. Will have to use the office line too it seems, it only sycns at 7Mbit though.

Yeah I gave up with my 2x 10Mbps lines. People are really pushing the accounts to the max when I see the top 20 list.
 
I'm very chuffed with my 14 GB's I can get per 6 hour session. Will almost be able to pull down an additional 400GB's with this! WA, this is an excellent thing! :D

Didn't even get my full quota this morning as my download drive filled up.
 
I scheduled my downloads to run between 12:00 and 06:00 but for some reason I now have only 10GB left on my 60GB capped account, and the 50TB hasn't been touched :/

Luckily I caught it in time, turned off my DL's altogether

Whilst I am happy with theoretical unlimited DL between 12:00 and 06:00, I have found a degradation of speeds as the days go by and that the first few hours are slow and then as people start finishing their DL's for the day, speeds pick up

I have a 10 meg line which can DL 3,6 odd gigs per hour. This morning in the first hour it only managed 2 gigs. Prior to this promo I had about a 97% 100% capacity rate - each day 3,6 gigs per hour flawlessly achieved.

At this stage this really is a theoretical issue I guess as I am not trying to break any DL records and have DL all I need with ease
 
I am curious to hear what people are downloading.

Also, is it things you have always wanted but never had the opportunity to download, or is it downloading for the sake of downloading?

Stuff that I actually want. I'm tired of getting stuff I never fully utilise.
 
i'm on 6mb line, only done 60gb in last 6 days..

then i see other guys on 1.3 TB already :cry:

as i write this i remember the days when i had a 3GB data cap on my telkom line!
 
uhm i'm capped on my anytime data so i removed my scheduler settings so that it will just automatically start at 12 when the data becomes available but i notice sometime it keeps on downloading after the 12 to 6 window, i hope i wont be billed the extra data as i expected it to be capped on the anytime.
 
I've given up. Cannot find anything worth downloading anymore. That and the lack of space are issues.

Still in 20th position though :D

I'm chugging along nicely 10Mb. Although I have to do 720p/1080p everything, otherwise I'll run out of tubies to watch very quickly.

Had some nasty niggles that cost me a potential 20th (or very close), but at least I'm syncing back at 10Mb instead of 8 now.

Off topic though.... how can we find out in what position we are? Outside of 20th I mean :p

Sub 20'ers aren't worth the effort :p :D
 
I’m on 20mbps and I average 49GB per night (12-6).

I’m very impressed with the performance on these accounts. I’m pretty sure the top 3 spots are at least 2 x 40mbps lines shared.

downloads still going after the 50Tb window has passed and i'm capped on the normal data, will be seriously peeved if this is going to be a problem come month end.

that aside i'm enjoying getting all those downloads i couldnt get previously due to data constraints.
space is becoming a problem but i've made a plan and intend on getting all my downloads completed.
