5G connection stability

Jbroo.

Why don't you cancel and move elsewhere? The service is clearly not working for you?

Haha noooo, not going down that rabbit hole. When it works it works well (for now). I'm not whining about speeds every day. The problem is how often it's down. I just find I get more response posting here, and also it helps to air laundry in public. After all, what better testimonial of service than in a public forum.

Hey man, I am on 5G and it has been great except for loadshedding but that's Eskom's problem. I am very happy with rain. Was able to break 200Mbps in my neighbourhood when the site went live and it has settled down to where I don't have to worry about sub 2mbps anymore.

They really went out of their way to sort us out. If they have done for you what they did for me and its still not working then maybe its something outside their control. Interference or just pure overcongestion. Im in a small town where a couple of neighborhoods had to rely on one tower. It could be similar situation in your area. If you having issues on 4G try 5G and vice versa. If both fail and you can afford anything else do it. Even if you have to go with Telkom R99 for 7.5gb (15gb with night data) or try fibre or even mtn's fibre over air.

I'm glad you're sorted. :) It's been a long time.

Yes, it has been amazing on 5G, the only hiccup is when there is heavy rain that seems to block the signal or trip power at the tower, not sure.
Haha, heavy rain. Well at least your efforts paid off. Touch wood, my 5G is working OK since they sorted the power issues out (municipal problem).

Average speedtest result down from ~50mbps to ~30mbps. Seems like some sort of speed cap was introduced? Anyone else noticed a speed cut on 5G?Screenshot_20220615-201414.jpg
