8800GTX Cards

How much they selling 7950 GX2's for?

Price is around R4800 to R5200 depending on sellers....

The price will stay constant until Vista comes out....

Until Vista launches next year Feb or March the DX10 means absolutely nothing.....so why drop the price?

Just thought Id help you out with the 8800 prices but all I got was a cocky response.....

8800 pricing has nothing to do with Vista, but manufacturing cost.
681million gates at 90nm 500MHz+ gets very hot and needs a rather complex power circuit and that's why the Cards cost so much. Because of their complexity nVidia is manufacturing them themselves (through subcontractor) and AIB's are buying complete products and only adding the cooler if they don't like the supplied one.

8800 is incredibly fast in the DX9 games as well and it looks phenomenal. :)

well kingrob thats why i think the pricing of nvidia last series will drop dramatically now because they want to get rid of their old stock

i can for see the 7900gt's dropping to under 1500 and the 7950 cards dropping to around 2500 which would be very temping indeed

but i wont upfgrade now because i dont have the cash no 1 but also because my 7600gt runs my bf games fine for the moment

everything medium with 4 x AA and 4xAF dont need more than that :)

but when someone finally buys my kidney im going to get me one those gtx 8800 :)

how long till suppliers have them do you think?

7900GT seized production some time ago. 7950GT took over $299 point, and 7900GS $199 point. :)
