8ta and Ipad data

AFAIK it's all 8ta, the SIM works fine in a CellC dongle,and tells you its on 8ta network; have not had any MTN messages/network.....and on the iPad its all 8ta....so why are you thinking MTN?

Because some areas (and from what I've experienced that includes the majority of PE) there isn't a native 8ta signal. Now normally they let you roam on MTNs network but not with the 10gb accounts.

If you leave the city and go to any spot along the Garden Route you won't find an 8ta signal.... as they have no towers on air in the area.

Hence you will roam on the MTN network as 8ta have a roaming agreement with them.

And the 10Gb contract is only applicable to the 8ta network - it does NOT roam on the MTN network.
