8ta Application Rejected - no reasons?

I applied for 8ta's BB 8520 offer at R90 a month and the application was rejected. I don't have any credit problems, and was easily paying a Telkom landline and ADSL account of well over triple that amount before I moved, so I tried to find out why.

Between their two call centres on 081125 and 081180 no-one is able to even guess at a reason, and each firmly believes that the other has the power and the knowledge, but they don't

I want the 8ta contract because I need to contact a landline number frequently and 8ta allow free calls to one nominated landline, so a vodacom, mtn or cellc contract won't help...

Any ideas?

Maybe you forgot to sign the contract properly or fill it out correctly...
Simple things get stuff rejected...

The one guy I spoke to said I should just keep trying till they approve it. Perhaps I should buy a lottery ticket at the same time.

It was done over the phone. But she seemed put out that I didn't have a street name and number, because I live on a farm.

When I cleared my PO box today, it seems that Telkom are demanding payment from me for a line which was meant to be transferred in January. It would have been nice if 8ta could have just told me this was the problem last week, instead of leaving it to me to workout on my own...

Oh, and some advice - never trust your ex to do what she promised...
