8ta LTE trial Speedtest Results, Feedback and Comments

Please can you run a couple of speed tests to servers in the UK and USA, and post the results here.
I'd like to get an idea what the latency and speeds are to international destinations.

No Idea, telkom wasnt even an option on the speedtest server list.
In the 8ta program i could only connect after i switched to Manual Network Connection and ran a long ass search. Then it displayed 8ta LTE and i selected that. Cell signal in this area is pretty k@k anyway.
 
I received the Usb LTE modem, butttt the Sim wasnt activated:(, waiting for a call on when it will activated.

cant wait to test the Speed.
 
Mine was also delivered not activated this morning, started working about 30 minutes ago...just reset your router or unplug or plug your USB....
 
Telkom 40mbps Connection Will Superiorly surpass LTE.
Stable, and will constantly keep a full loop speed.

Unlike wireless. Look at that LTE, They promised :Better Latency: hahaha.. plz come on by all these speed tests international latency is still horrid.

Not to mention the Large Lack of towers, if you want speed anywhere higher then 15mbps from LTE you have to be in -50dbi which is so damn close to the tower whats the point? not everyone has a damn tower close to them

PLUS -50DBi now needs a freakin external Antenna to even reach 50mbps... like wth lol..?

Truth is: To get the speed 8ta offers you have to stand next to the tower, is what there basically saying. Awesome..
Let me get a backpack setup and set camp next to the tower.. cause that's what 8ta wants you to do.

Edit: I get -73dbi so that means I get 14mbps WITH Lte.. lol WOOPDY ****ING DO I get a WHOLE 4mbps upgrade :D

Edit 2: Oh P.S I get -73dbi on 3G so it will probably be -100 dbi on LTE :P Nice..

I think LTE is wonderful

U need to remember nothing is perfect but LTE is for some that cant have adsl a better option,

What do u think u would pay for a adsl line that can give u 14mbps? for 4mbps to 10mbps line its over 400rand in rent thats no data... with 8ta u just need modem and the cap and u can game at full speed :) and dont tell me adsl is stable there are just as many people complaining about adsl after the upgrades then people about 3g

In my eyes 8ta did wonders to have LTE up and running at 50mbps and more

Hi 8ta, thanks it is up and running now.

First speed test result.

Busy testing the speeds, most i get is 14 down and 3 up ping of 35

Want to try online gaming with ps3 on the Huawei LTE router, but keep on getting dns errors......
Anyone know the settings required?
 
Speed Test Tonight. Is it just me or every night i am testing it's getting slower?
