Hi, with this new deal 8ta offers from 12 Aug, when you recharge with R50 or more you receive 100% back. I want to know whether its possible to use the free airtime to buy BIS. And is there an expiry date for the free airtime. TX

I did read that the airtime expires after 7days of recharge gps. I did also read that it can't be used to buy bundles so not sure if bis can be bought.

I think you can buy data with the bonus + the airtime you recharge:

The free airtime reward can be used instantly for calls, data, SMS and MMS anytime and to any South African network. This significantly differentiates 8ta from the competition.

I could be wrong, they might mean use OOB data instead of bundle data.

I read on the 8ta facebook page you can use data @ R1 per mb but you can not buy bundles with it. So you can call.sms.mms and surf but not buy bundles. That is what I read. But we shall see tomorrow.

OK so I loaded R135 today no and rewards received.
8ta Rep please explain, thanks.

Its only for "previously disadvantaged cellular phone users"

All new starter packs is already on the 8ta more tarrif plan. If you were on 8ta before you need to change you tarrif plan to 8ta more by dialing *180#

I think that is the problem.... :)

Can the bonus airtime be transferred to another 8ta number?

It only works with normal prepaid and not with promo deals in my case 2+1, received feedback from 8ta.

It says that free airtime gets used first.

Now let's say I buy R150 airtime, I then get R150 free. If I immediately convert my R150 into a 2+1 GB promo bundle, will my data usage immediately start coming off the bundle or will the free airtime of R150 be used up at the OOB rate of R1/MB first and then my data bundle after that? So in essence, will this method give me 150 MB + 2 GB + 1 GB?

it will use your data bundle first then your free airtime

Better use your free R150 for calls. It will probably expire before your bundle is depleted.

8ta more is not available to the customers that have their simcards enabled for the go big bundles.....

Why is this?

Hi

The airtime can be used for voice, data, SMS or MMS, but you will not be able to purchase any bundles or premium rates services as BlackBerry.

For the full Terms and Conditions please click here: http://www.8ta.com/plans/prepaid-voice/

Thank you

Hi

You are correct.
The free airtime can only be used out of bundle.

Thank you

Hi
If you are an existing 8ta prepaid customer, then you need to have your tariff plan changed to 8ta more.
Thank you
