8ta speeds suck! Report here... [solved!]

So guys, how's the speeds and connections?

I can't test 'cause I hit my cap end of last week. :p Yeah even with super crap speeds I managed to do most of my monthly torrents on scheduler during the day. :whistle:

I'm now surfing on 8ta thanks to their "10% of your bandwidth free at reduced speeds" option when I hit the cap.
Must say the 'reduced speeds' matches their service the last 2 weeks so I do expect an improvement once I'm back online on Thursday. :D
 
Its simply fantastic to use 8ta now.

Im getting 6.45 Mbps down & 1.2 Mbps up.

Not sure what Im gonna do with the 16GB thats still on my Vodacom sim, cos the sim is now somewhere in a drawer. :p
 
So far its great!!! played about an hour of bf3 this morning and no lag etc...

Wish I were getting 2Mbps let alone 6Mbps. I was getting .5 to 1 Mbps for a while, but that was short lived, getting time outs again tonight.
 
Think things are being sorted out now. Mine is working perfect again
 
I also managed BFBC2 online on the Xbox this weekend with no problems! Thanks 8ta!

Stupid cap... I wanna test these speeds.... :p
 
LOOK at my upload speed :wtf::wtf::wtf::mad:.... download is not that hot either (in Blairgowrie, Randburg, JHB)

This inconsistency is typical of my connection.

Sent 3 emails last week to [email protected] - no response whatsoever!!! Service? What service?

Until things improve 8ta still sucks!
 
@ pardus, I'm in Randburg as well and mine still sucks too. Download was barely 1mb and upload non-existent last night. Ping also varies between 200-300ms.

Blairgowrie here as well. Pings barely acceptable (round 100ms) and sub 1mb download.
 
Mine improved a lot after I sent my mail. Still 100ms pings which is not so bad, but at least 5mbps download! And I torrented at 500kbps! Whoohoo!

Got my K4605 today... Bring the thunder!
