"A Game of Thrones" discussion thread

Episode 5 was great, I enjoyed the exchange between Varys/ Littlefinger. I didn't think that they would show the breast feeding scene on a tv show.

MAN i love these new explicit shows like rome,spartacus and now game of thrones!!

anyway, i was looking for sean bean, but it seems like i thought he was someone else. I thought he was one of the hobbits. No wonder i could find him in the first 5 eps. If it continues like this then it will be and insane show!!

i dig the dwarf and the litllest stark child the girl who wants to be a swordsman. I can just see how she pushes the boundary of what is expected of girls and causes great social structure chaos and also becomes very powerful. Ned is good to start teaching her sword skill so early.

Yea Tyrion (the dwarf) is one of my favorite characters in the book too. Very sarcastic and all that. He's kinda like Dr. House ;)

I've heard from a few people that it's a good show, but a show that deals with people stuck in prison every episode seems so claustrophobic and hopeless.
 
I'm on episode two of Thrones and enjoying it very much. The costumes are excellent as well.
 
I ran out of bandwidth so haven't seen episode 5 yet :-( Only have 5G a month which used to be fine till this series came along...
 
I didn't enjoy the tournament scene so much in episode 4. Seemed fake with not enough spectators / people - and the people that were there all acted like extras on a film set!
 
Man the RIAA crowd is really on the ball with this show.

If you are grabbing it via NS, check the first RAR. Make sure WinRar can open it. They are replacing them with damaged RARs & damaged pars. Took me 5gb to find that out.
 
Try stick to one source... I scheduled my rss feed to use CTU, no clue who they are but they release fast.

Was a good episode.

Thats one of the ones they replaced. E03 & E04 were shot. Depends on who the upstream usenet provider is though. I think giga replaced theirs & astra didn't.
 
Ah... I'm on astraweb... Also, it would have downloaded quote soon after the release.
