A week with Apple ...

Right timer set for 20min as it just turned on.

On the topic…can you find Android phones while they are off?

I can't recall how many times I've heard that *yawn* Typically when a device doesn't support fast charging.

I recall my 40w charger back in late 2018. The Apple at a few Watts or so and they all told me my battery would be dead a year later.

But here I am in 2022 with the standard degradation on a battery. In fact, I know plenty of iPhone users with dying batteries after 4 or 5 years

Edit: I think Apple keeps shifting the goalposts on this as well. At one stage, anything more than 5w was terrible at battery life.

IT DOES SUPPORT FAST CHARGING.

Please stop talking kak.

The battery life for the day or in a couple of years?

I don't think anything from iPhone to iPhone XS had an amazingly good battery . From iPhone 11 they've improved to the point they are now

I've had decent midrange phones in the past 5-10 years. Which lasted all day plus one. It's a different kettle of fish having fast charging capabilities.
Oh, I have fast charging capabilities. Every iPhone owner with an iPhone 8 or later has.

The house is littered with 20w Apple chargers and USB-C cables too... which I never use... 'cos I have the MagSafe charger and that's my preferred option.

Different strokes for different folks.

On another topic, do you all use Tapatalk? Anyone use the MyBroadband app?

The iOS version shows a post was liked, but you can't see who.

Yeah I don’t remember it may have been never.

I forgot all about the Find My iPhone while it’s off, only got reminded now when it died.
Yup, and thanks for pointing that out... I might never have known otherwise.

Right up to 23% in 20min.

So I guess that translates to 1% per minute.

On some random off brand wall charger of unknown wattage.

Still don’t know what the drama is about.

Speaking of apps, 22Seven seems much more user friendly on an Android actually. This iOS version isn't great at all.

Bleh

Tapatalk = MyBroadband App.

It’s all I use.

Just touch the thumbs up and it shows you.

What’s wrong with it?

How is it different?

I actually vaguely remember the exact opposite annoying me, so I’m going to guess it’s probably all in design language.

If you open, go to budget and select a category - on Android you can click on each month bar and get the transaction details for that month.

It was very easy to see what made up the month and if there was a wrong transaction

iOS can't do that, it seems

The iPhone 13 supports 20W, this is inline with the Samsung S22 that does 25W (the 45W charger makes no difference), and the Pixel 6/Pro that does 21-23W.

I think this is an issue of the environment we are in, iOS users will in SA always be a fraction of Android, so some companies seem less inclined to spend resources on iOS development. There was another SA-based app that was k@k on iOS and good on Android, which I can't remember now.

That is an oddity.

I’m pretty sure you could do it like that before, so may be something that was recently dropped.

You can of course just see all transactions under View All, but I realise it’s not quite the same thing.

They are very open to Feature Requests and quite responsive so log a case with them and ask for this to be added. Things only get improved with user input.

On the charging side I'm not complaining - I'm pointing out the difference.

I've been using 40w charging for a number of years and I'm used to getting a 4,000mah+ battery to 70% while I take a shower. I'm used to a short stint on the charger giving me enough to juice.

I've been caught with the iPhone 'slow' charging already and needed to take the charger to office

Kill me now pls. In 23 mins I'm over 95% on my 66W. Damn that sounds archaic... Don't forget your powerbank on your way to the office
