4, and it's pretty much perfect imo. I spend more time stuffing around on the iPad though ...
 
Yeah i got a blue tooth keyboard and that does work well.

You do however need to jail break to get a mouse and cursor working.

Will report back... Only real reason i jail broke.
 
Ok, so I do want to run a .ipa file which I actually bought, iDOS, but it was pulled from the store after a day. What's the 1-2-3 steps to import and enable an .ipa file?

The 4 is incredibly sweet no doubt but you and tnero mark my words!! It starts with just a single reason and escalates from there. Fakeclockup gents... Don't forget to install fakeclockup, requires the following repository: http://repo.insanelyi.com/

Jailbreak>appsync iOS 5+>done...

Where's the ipa now? Downloaded to pc?

EDIT: If it's a legit ipa it should be installed on your device. What you mean pulled from appstore?

There was a loophole in the app so you could run DOS and in turn Windows 3.11 and Windows 95 ...
 
ok so my summary from this thread, please update & correct:

0. Internet connection required
1. Start iTunes, allow it to update iTunes/Safari/MobileMe, reboot
2. Sync iDevice with iTunes
3. In Settings, enable VPN, when asked for settings just select Next or Done.
4. You will want to erase all settings and data on the iPad before doing the JB (settings>general>reset>erase all content and settings). Just seems to run smoother like that (if you can/want to that is).... Backup with iTunes before erasing of course...
5. Download and run http://greenpois0n.com/
6. settings>general>reset>reset network settings
7. Add Cydia repositories: Http://repo.insanelyi.com/, Http://cydia.hackulo.us/, Http://cydia.xsellize.com/
8. Install: Installous, appsync
9. Don't forget to transfer purchases back when syncing on iTunes.
10. Nolockscreen WTF!

This is reminding me of how fesking slow Cydia and it's directory loading is. IT'S ****E.
 
Cydia takes forever whenever you add a repository.

If this is like it was with the 3G where it takes 5 minutes to show a listing of apps, then I'm not interested.

No, it's been vastly improved. The initial setup takes time but it improves from there. But what you doing with repositories already? You done already????
 
Ok seems to work now. I have no lock screen on my iPad for which I am grateful!

How to install .ipa files? ...
 
Your ipa's, by default are all located at C:\users\[your name]\my music\iTunes\Mobile applications

If you've downloaded an ipa to your pc, put it into this folder above, right click it and select open with iTunes. Said ipa will be imported into iTunes app section.

Next connect your iPad to pc and sync, app will sync to iPad. If said app happens to be cracked you need appsync iOS5+ on iPad available through Cydia...

That's it!? one measly app and THAT'S the reason your going to jailbreak? After giving me hell the other day, and just that one single app is enough reason for you to jailbreak!? I have one more thing to say... I hate you.
