Is the app showing up in the app list in iTunes?

Assuming it is when you sync the pad either via wifi or cable you would have highlighted the ipad in the left hand column of iTunes, then highlighted apps, then ticked the appropriate box next to the app you wanting to sync...

Double click the file and then sync it on iTunes. Make sure you have Appsync installed from Cydia Hackulo repository first though.

Does anyone know of a good option to toggle settings from the main screen? Like particularly wi-fi on/off?

SBSettings I've used in the past and it was pretty decent. You have to swipe across the top for it to pop up.

Well I don't upgrade or jailbreak just for the sake of it, be it my PC or phone or tablet. If there is something handy or that irritates me, then for sure. Having to swipe to unlock the iPad just irritated me.

But now I'll probably have a look around for other things to do ...

Btw, how to get rid of Spotlight? I've never used that thing.

Ja, sbsettings!! There is also an option now to have the toggles in the notification centre...

Note at the top of my notification centre it says search here. That is Statusgoogle for notification centre. Basically a shortcut to google, type what you need in there, hit enter and it googles it through Safari, quite handy...

Download an app called Springtomize 2, its an awesome app that allows you to customize the hell out of iOS, if you go to the Pages setting, there is an option called Disable Spotlight. Or you can download spotremover, however I recommend Springtomize 2 as it allows for a lot of other features :)
