A5 jailbreak released

Perhaps. I've often been reaching for the calculator on my iPad but stocks and weather is a waste of ram. Clock as well with alarm clock I would have thought would be mandatory...
Still doesn't make sense, except maybe providing app developers with and opportunity to make some money for duplicating Apple core apps? Sucks whatever the case.

What's the difference between Cydia and Installous?

Should Appsync be on my springboard after installing it via Cydia? It's not.

Cydia - free and paid for community apps, tweaks and themes
Installous - pirate AppStore apps

I kinda like it. Still running it.

Sweet.

As I said be default it runs at x 2.5. If you go into settings>fakeclockup you can adjust the animations from x 10 being the quickest to x 1/10 which is slowest.

There is a trick to put newstand into a folder whereby you create a new folder using any 2 icons and while the new folder is forming you drag newstand into the new folder and it sticks.

With fakeclockup slowing down the animations it makes the trick so much easier to implement...

I did that before I was JB, but now that I am I am using the NoNewsIsGoodNews app to get rid of the Newsstand app which I care less about. Is in the standard/default (BigBoss) repo.

Thanks. I did figure it out eventually. Guess the others didn't want to say so openly.

I was browsing through the list and found Minebuilder, so clicked download button, it then kindly offers the ligit version and a cracked version, I opted for the ligit version for $2 - I'm a developer myself ...

Having Minecraft on my iPad is pretty awesome.

My battery life has gone down the toilet since the JB which is a pity since I enjoyed some of the changes. Since iTunes wants to download the full 5.0.1 I'll have to wait until my midnight to 06:00 bandwidth kicks in before I restore it back to the vanilla OS. :o

Mine is about the same. What did you install?

A little bit of everything :o I've been uninstalling apps but I've got no way of knowing just how "uninstalled" they really are so restoring to vanilla seems to be my best bet. :o

My battery life dropped more than 30% overnight which is something I've not experienced before.

Any chance you installed backgrounder?

Not that I'm aware of and it doesn't show in the list of installed apps.

Try RemoveBG. Like backgrounder it kills any apps running or suspended in the background.

That sort of overnight battery loss is the exception rather than the rule but it would be very interesting to try and work out what is causing it...

You could even try repeating the jailbreak process as a potential cure to the battery drain...

EDIT: I guess what I'm trying to say is don't give up on the jailbreak just yet...

Any chance you installed any UI or springboard mods as these would also stay resident and utilise processor or GPU, for example: infinifolders, infiniboard, Barrel, ...

I think it most likely could be an unknown bug in one of the mods.

I do have infinidock installed, however removing it removed one of the few benefits I enjoyed about JB.
